The only advantage those have is more official software support. Not a problem if you can custom rom the old phone. New phones are junk and the ones with good hardware and features are too expensive with lackluster software support.

Samsung's S22 Ultra's cameras look worse than an iPhone 15 Plus's one, and since you say Apple's cameras are mediocre, then how would you rate Samsung's cameras which are worse than Apple's ones? Since mediocre is only average and Samsung is worse, then Samsung is below average.

        Also I use a Samsung because I've used Samsung since the S7 edge. I thought the S22 Ultra was actually going to be a great phone, it wasn't. So that's why I hate Samsung, a waste of money and the worst part is that Samsung's lost the magic that made me buy them in the first place. They're just bad Apple clones now.

                samsung are only market leader for entry level ~ A2 , A1 series l . for midrange A3x A5x series , they are no where to compete overall chinese brand . Xioami , poco , Transsion are very strong for mid range and flagship killer segment .

If you see my first comment I DID talk about Google being trashy as well. You just selectively filter out the hate for other brands, focus completely on what I said about Samsung and exaggerate shit.

                    For example I did NOT say the S23 Ultra's display was bad, I just said it wasn't an upgrade. They didn't upgrade the display that generation so they could do so with the S24 Ultra and make it seem like a huge jump, which it is, but that's only because they stopped for a year.

                    You're talking about vanilla iPhones having mediocre cameras. Their 15 Plus wrecks my S22 Ultra in 1x-2x photos. Those are great cameras. In terms of hardware the main cams of the S24 and the 15/15 Plus aren't much different, so if Apple's cameras are "mediocre" then so are Samsung's too right? You just proved my point lol

                    Man I could continue pointing out stuff that Google and Apple did right continuously and even all their wrongs like Apple's refresh rate and Google's chipset. You haven't talked about what great thing Samsung has done. You just say "no one can do what Samsung has done". 12 year old logic.

                    You're free to like Samsung and I'm free to criticize them, freedom of speech and all that but there's not point in arguing with someone who has no point. It'll just go on for eternity.

                      and Google recently stepped down to a lower one also after 1440p on their previous flagship, but only Samsung gets called out. Apple adding minimal upgrades yearly to only pro and maxes but the vanilla and plus get left out, with poor screen refresh rate and mediocre camera, but only Samsung gets called out. Lol. Google on the other hand is just something else.

                        And what would you say Samsung has done in the past 2 years? Everything is either slight "refinement" of poorly implemented stuff or just some changes for the sake of changes, for example, S22U's battery was poor and so were its speakers and this changed with the S23U, S23U's display wasn't an upgrade and this changed with the S24U, the UI is changed constantly for the sake of changing for the most part, making the UI look "fresh" so people can say Samsung does a lot of things. AI is nothing crazy, even the S22U has it and Google/other android phones will have it. So what's the thing that Samsung's doing that's so great?

Judging by fact that it's a Korean company. not even a Chinese company or a German. If you think Samsung isn't doing much then your bs, if your gonna pray for Samsung downfall then your fooling fr, cuz nothing would happen. That's the only reason why their Q1 look good. The Q2 won't be pretty, because now the bigger sales came for Q1 which means Q2 going to be bad.                                   Yay, so much stuff destined for landfills in the coming years. So exciting lol.

                                    16.2% of the market share by Apple is stunning considering the fact that in most countries their phones are HORRIBLY overpriced. I just don't understand how the 15 Pro Max and other phones are the best-selling smartphones, maybe because of some deals ig? Idk it's weird.

                                    Oppo and Vivo should go global again due to their issues being solved so I'm interested in seeing how that affects the global sales, don't think it'll change by more than 1-3%. I really hope Google can get its sh*t together and make sensible decisions. Their current phones are the most "idk how to feel about this" kind of phones ever. Neither the most average, the worst nor the best, just something. Nothing can make great strides if they can get their distribution game up and continue putting out banger releases like the 2a.

                                    Dunno how to feel about the market honestly, during the Pixel 2 days nearly all companies were viable and you just chose what you wanted. Nowadays there's such big price gaps and even quality gaps due to hardware changes it's not easy to say what a good phone is. There's gotta be something good next year for the overall phone industry like a price shift or huge innovations or something, AI is just one of the many tools available to users, NOT the main focus. It's like a car manufacturer doing some wacky soothing sound playlist or something in their car, it's nice to have and maybe I'll tinker with it once or twice but if you're giving me a Toyota Camry for the price of a BMW M5 then ofc I won't be satisfied with just this gimmick.

                                    Apple is the only manufacturer who's comfortably able to just coast by with iterative updates and still rely on AI to do the heavy lifting. iOS, the Apple logo, the power, the ease of photography and the quality of videography will pull people all the time. These are the reasons why so many people I know use Apple phones, be it dated ones or a new one. Apple's photography is roughly on par with Google, mostly better than Samsung's so if Samsung can stagnate, then Apple can easily chill because of the work they've done. And them gatekeeping AI features to Pro Models would surely lead to higher sales. If Samsung starts doing this then I'm gonna start praying for their downfall fr.
