Don't be another Microsoft+Nokia=Windows 8.

Samsung should capitalize the current open sourced OS like
Firefox OS
Ubuntu
Sailfish

Don't waste money to reinvent the wheels unless it changes the world.

Anonymous, 07 Jul 2013How come Tizen iis dead? Its a very good os, it is the futu... moreIt would need to match what Android and IOS can do just to be a decently useful OS. It will need to SURPASS what they can do to justify its existence. What does it have (that the others don't) that I should want it?

Tizen, as the name suggest, is very weak and no innovation at all. I bet Samsung would abandon it as soon as they find out that Tizen devices aren't selling well or influencing their Android sales. Lol. Android and iOS is the champion today and forever.

Everyone in the industry knows that Tizen is dead. Just ask about Meego, or Maemo. All dead OSes. Its a 3 horse race, with only 2 making any money.

Eldar is only guestimating these days.
Since he turned on nokia, some years back, it seems he does not have any real inside sources at any brand.

Sure, the delayment of Tizen, the prety much two horse race in the mobile OS world, and the few backers of tizen makes it fairly reasonble to guess that could be killed off...

Eldar is just trying to guess what will come, so he can later point to that statement as credebility.

Any one slightly interested in moibles, that has some clue, and with the record of what happend with meego, could go to make the same assumption.
But with no further information, no serious journalist would report it to be the case, at this point.

Eldar is trying to be the first to annouce anything, but he simply does not have sources to back the information. He knows that the big tech blogs have much more reliable sources, so he has no shot at being first if he actually made statements on fact and not guesses.

I don't understand why he has not simply moved on to do something else, since he lost his inside information.

I was 100% sure that Intel and Samsung wont just drop Tizen development. Either ways , Tizen do have a future if it was supported well , i mean what Samsung did to Bada was total shit , they didn't update their first low end phones (Wave 533 and 525) and didn't actually care about bringing more developers to try Bada , you know at sometime Bada's market share surpassed that of windows phone and Bada was lag free on damn shitty CPUs it was so smooth and it had a very promising future but Samsung ruined it by all of what they did to the owners of the Bada phones specially the low end ones (as that what was meant from bada to run on) and that must not happen to Tizen they must wait and wait and wait an OS can't prevail on other OSes in 2 or 3 years it needs time specially as competition now is much harder than before so please do not drop Tizen and try to keep supporting it for long time or never release it at all.

Who was this Eldar Mustazin? Two times I saw GSMArena mentioned the name in rumor section. Kinda big mouth fella.

MeeGo would have been the way forward, everything else pales in comparison to my N9, in terms of basic navigation and how a mobile os should feel anyway.

This Tizen sounds so Asian, I doubt that it may get attention and support in Europe and North America.

It is quite intriguing to see Intel's knee-jerk reaction vis-a-vis Tizen or the erst while Meego, they are very quick to dispel any rumors concerning their OS. It shows their insecurity on this issue. This does not mean that Eldar Murtazin is right but every thing doesn't seem well in paradise.

I think nobody will buy any new os phone especially tizen after knowing what Samsung did with bada os. the last bada phone wave 3 still doesn't got any single major update. it has stucked on bada 2.0 version. I think android and ios is most trustworthy competitors here.

Tizen is dead. It is impossible to create an ecosystem for tizen. No games, no applications, and no manufacturers. Moreover, i test tizen development phone and it is horrible, gui interface is extremely bad, phone seems a very old device to use. Better move to android OS, which is superb and opensource.
