Apple reportedly suspends Vision Pro 2's development as it aims to release cheaper model next year

Apple aims to price the cheaper Vision at around $1,500.

still about 3x as expensive as it should be. Don't see why anyone would buy this when the quest 3 exists and can actually run games

    Let alone, they can't address to the eyes issue over time.

      The cheaper model will lose the "Pro" moniker and just be called "Vision"?

      I'm actually looking forward to seeing the cheaper model and seeing what it offers compared to the expensive model.

        AND once this becomes available, apple will tell Apple Vision 1 owners that they don't have enough ram for next years update....lol

          Reason for them to downgrade the vision pro's, might be sales..
          like for instance, in South Africa, hardly see or find someone wearing them in our community, cos they are too expensive..
          might be a wise move since most African families are less fortunate and can't afford to buy them.

If anything I probably expect them to cut the display resolution slightly and keep the same tech.
                          Tandem OLEDs would be more fitting for the Pro 2.

                            If Apple wants to actually sell VR headsets, they're going to have to allow adult content on them. That's how all of the other manufacturers have been driving sales, even if none of them will admit it.

Pricing is horrendous but so are other manufacturers' ones. So in this sea of sh*t pricing, I'd say Apple's "fine".

                                    Even at 1500, it won't sell that good. Apple is struggling to "reduce features" and people are struggling to find good practical uses on why do you need a thing attached to your head to send some emails or talk to someone. For now, not that many interesting things to the average joe.
