1.5k is gonna be actually cheap if they keep the same speakers and can upgrade the displays somehow, maybe with Tandem OLEDs or something idk but that'd actually be great. From 3500 to 1500. I guess people who bought the original one got owned lmao, and that's great. Who tf would buy a 3500 dollar headset, it's outrageous you can just buy a nice TV and a nice soundbar setup for that money. 1500 is much more palatable.

let me guess
cheap for apple will still be over $1000 and the build quality and durability would be worse then gen 1

They need to do something around a Meta Quest 3 price point for it to be a decent seller. And sort out the horrible battery pack and glass cracking issues.

Apples new excuse on why the super powerful iPhone 14 Pro won’t receive AI........Because, apparently, 6 GB of LPDDR 5 ram which is like equivalent to 12 GB of DDR4 Ram..........In other words, Apple is Taking advantage of their customers by forcing them to upgrade......for no apparent reason.... It’s so odd that my new LG TV uses AI. However a powerhouse of technology like the iPHone 14 Pro can’t.........lol.

Apple was pricing Vision pro gen 1 just too high compared what it offered.
It should have been either better or cheaper to sell well.
Apple has very tight spot because Meta is selling their in some ways better, in some ways worse Quest 3 for fraction of the price and it has great content library.
It could be that cheaper Apple Vision and Meta Quest pro 2 could be around same price(999-1500 dollars) but when Meta releases their Quest 4 it could kill Apple Vision series with having rumored eye tracking, bigger fov etc for much cheaper price.
Then Meta releasing their Horizon Os for selected partners could also mean that before Quest 4 release Apple is in very struggling situation because those partners could offer Vision Pro like features for cheaper price and great content library.
Honestly i think Apple is just building foundation for AR glasses(that would be competitive with Metas rumored 2027 AR glasses) that look like glasses with their Vision lineup instead of thinking it would sell good.
Personally i love VR but i think majority of people would benefit more from AR/smart glasses with screen that connect to their phones that they could use every day.

"However, Apple is said to be struggling to reduce the cheap Vision's price without cutting down on too many features."
Correction: Apple is struggling to reduce the cheap Vision's price without cutting down their margins.
Apple never had a problem cutting down feature. Heck, they were willing to sell $1500 Pro MacBook with neutered slow SSD, and $1000 iPhones with cheap faulty panels from BoE. Apple only cares about their margins.
