LG with rollable was also casted aside. It really feels like someone is destroying every single futuristic device that is great enough to kill the competition, some brands even without any foldable...
With VR devices knocking at the door, also with price, we may even see a jump in category straight from real flagships in bar factor to VRs with flagship cameras, that may bring even more than 1'' sensors and 10x zoom, since there is plenty of space for sensors.
4x 1'' sensor 200mp array from 0.5x-15x, with hands free recording on top... no reason to say no.

I like the software of Samsung and I acknowledge it's not slimmest sleekest thing but for me it is the most user ready foldable there. I had Xiaomi before and it would keep installing some weird apps overnight, had Huawei at early days. I do not agree with China supporting ruzzish war and I am not buying anything made by that country that labels it's Chinese.

Rakesh, 21 Jun 2024As many other millions of people I am not even considering ... moreWell, sorry that I use phone mostly as a camera device, getting near 1'' sensors, 4x 50+MP, 10x zooms and pen, with way better battery/screen ratio, it would be ridiculous to sacrifice that for small part of what I get on my 12.5'' tablet...
Basically anything past MateX and MateX2 is just design fail, basically 2 slabs of phones without any care to accommodate flagship lvl hardware, even though 2 kind of design examples were done(not to mention ones that could be created).
Folds are failed tech, its like getting rid of jack just to use external one, because there is no true lossless alternative.
Design over function, I choose function.

Obviously the crease is still there on both phones...Won't buy any over expensive folding phone until the crease cannot be seen nor felt

And it is probably going to be 6 after 5. Used the 2nd. It was too early baked. But it's been almost a year with 5 and with my 8 hours of screen time and no protection on inner screen without any issues I am sticking with the fold

It's really disappointing to see Samsung being stuck in a phase where they fail to innovate but rather keep on increasing there product/mobile prices every year. To me it seems like Samsung is now only focusing on making more profits and doesn't care about what the consumer actually wants. Think about it, no major innovation since S22 series, same design, minor hardware updates and this means far less cost of production per unit but still every year higher price.
I switched to honor magic v2 after using Samsung fold 4 and believe me Samsung fold series is no where close when it comes to the design of honor magic v2. It's an extremely sleek device that you don't even feel is a fold phone when using, outer display is like a normal smart phone fully functional and usable not narrow and long like samsung fold and there is barely any crease visible on inner display.
If fold 6 is same as fold 5 than guys don't even think of wasting usd2000 on joke of a fold phone, I am certainly not planning to buy if Samsung fold series is not as good as honor magic v2!

If they don't spread the crease out to make it look more shallow like the teardrop hinge, it will stand out more.

They dont care about sreen crease they care aboute dimensions and possibly colors. Beside that, noone whill use expensive tech/materials for them.

If some dirt or dust gets under the screen, it won't come out completely and the impurities will grind the circuits from the data connectors of the phone crease. Soon after, you'll start seeing the colorful lines of unfixable broken pixels.

Why would you create a dummy products that look different than the actual products? Dummy products won't have internal components because that would make them the actual products or prototypes.

Just me, 21 Jun 2024Samsung replace these first time for free after that is 20 ... moreI wish samsung in my country was that capable, they have multiple stores here but don't fix any of their devices themself.
A 3rd party does that for them, so for a silly screenprotector replacement you lose your phone for 3 to 5 working days and they also casually factory reset it no matter what.
