Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 dummy units pose for a photoshoot

21 June 2024
They could be dummy units, they could be prototypes, the source is confused but the pictures are still useful.

I had the Fold 4 and one fine day the folding screen stopped and then the outer (small screen) also stopped...the fold phone bricked after a use of 14 months...my fold 2 developed bubbles inside the screen ....my fold3 had touch pad issues....so reliability is a major issue..so 2,00,000 times of folds and unfolds (hinge durability) is NOT AT ALL CONVINCING....the screens are not durable...that is for sure..

The screen doesn't last more than 12 months of heavy usage. I have the Fold 5 and the big screen is peeling off and only half of it is visible. Folding phones need at least 5 years or more to make it reliable

I used the Fold 5 for like 6 months. Not once was I bothered by the crease.

Switched to s24u to see how i like a high end slab, but will likely give fold6 another go since its wider now when closed. Ill miss the s24u stylus tho

Even the dummy have a massive crease....

Far123, 21 Jun 2024I am hoping to get a Flip for a dumb phone, I like the idea... moreGo for it. There's a youtube who said the exact same thing.

Samsung is VW of design. Boring, repetitive, outdated.
Or as VW fanboys would call it "practical and composed"

I am hoping to get a Flip for a dumb phone, I like the idea of the secondary a.k.a front screen for a quick look at time, weather etc. In doing so limits my phone usage. I am a Gen Z as you all might say, wanna fully ditch the modern ecosystem, but in my developing country, communications is mainly on WhatsApp. Hardly got to know people with basic Message app, mostly Elderly or iPhone users. What do you think using this as a dumb phone?

This is like 2 or more generations ago compared with vivo x fold3 pro. They're not even trying fo compete anymore. And I hate how they're following apple's footsteps in keeping the same design across all their phones for multiple years.

People complaining about the crease on the dummy unit

I am interested in the IP rating. If they somehow manage a dust proof rating i will buy the Fold 6. The only reason I skipped on the fold5 was the design and IP rating.

                          The crease is awful.

Anonymous, 21 Jun 2024"You don't really notice the crease" ~ YT in... moreThe crease is like the notch/cutout, you notice it if you are looking for it, but when you use it you don't really notice. Of course the screen breaking is an issue and also the high price, what's the point of it replacing a tablet when phone and tablet is cheaper than a foldable?

                              Everyday looking better!
Hopefully i can pick one up soon.

No way, I was exited for this but NO! I'm not buying this! Its nowhere near the oneplus open. Front display is still small, inner display has visible crease or grease. And cameras ohhh nooo...lets see if they are launching ultra fold

I do. I notice it immediately and the plastic screen feels weird. Given how many people say their foldables broke, I'm glad I never jumped onboard the trend.
