I think it's nice marketing what oneplus says, I've been using google pixel 6 since November 2021. battery with my usage mode lasts about an hour and a half. to be honest, it doesn't charge the fastest and I use the original cable and a Samsung 21w charger. accubattery tells me 88% battery health. and I'm sure many would agree that builders long ago learned to make good things. and if we were to show ourselves who was taller, they would only have to look around

that nuclear power you talking about, obviously need to pass tons of safety regulation, which take years, if it want to be used/accepted internationally

then cost to mass-produce it, when currently there tons li-ion alternative and already tested (such as solidstate battery https://www.techradar.com/phones/solid-state-battery-breakthrough-could-solve-the-biggest-flaw-in-this-potentially-world-changing-technology) and yet those have not yet replaced current li-ion

rather than radioactive in your pocket, there more possibility graphene-battery would be the next one, if they find out to cheaply product them

Oh so goodbye 120W wired charging or 140aw.

This statement from OnePlus and Oppo states all previous devices will need battery upgrades soon lol

Anonymous, 23 Jun 2024Nothing special at all. Many phones can retain their bat... more 177,192% battery capacity in 1771 cycles isn't possible, unless you charged your device past 100% but then that would of been an explosion, better yet 1771 cycles to 80% health is not possible with the current tech, no matter what do you do, unless you do 65-75 charging.

                Nothing special at all.

Many phones can retain their battery health after few years, but only few phones can get long software support.

My old Galaxy A51 (2019) even has 80% battery health after 1,771 full charging cycles (177,192% battery capacity) based on AccuBattery Pro stats.

Anonymous, 22 Jun 2024Or, you know, bring back removable battery.YES! We definitely need to see more phones like the Fairphone and Samsung Galaxy XCover line.

                    420mAh/g sounds insane!

More like Oppo/OnePlus. If OnePlus is working on this tech, there's no way it's not used in future Oppo phones.

It's why Android users are jumping brands like rabbits. So what if someone buys a phone every 4-5 years only, but if they always buy same brand because it provides worry free long term support the entire time, that's great. You have a guaranteed user who buys your products at least every 4 years or so. If they jump brands every time like this, they might come back in 4 years. Or maybe in 12. Or maybe never again. Isn't that worse than guaranteed every 4 years?

This is one of rare things I kinda respect Apple for. They just play the long game and hook everyone to their brand. Doesn't matter how long it takes between upgrades for as long as it's upgrade within their brand. It's weird how Apple seems to be the only brand really pushing this. Not even Samsung feels the same in Android side and they are like the first thing you think of when saying "Android smartphone".

Anonymous, 22 Jun 2024This is why OnePlus 3T was my last phone from them. Oneplus is the only small brand that is worth it and one of the few that is sold in Carriers in that country.
