Yes, in Apple's eyes, the EU probably seems like a bully, but who are we to care and sympathize with Apple? They are the biggest and most prestigious tech company, anyway. They exert a lot of power over the industry, so it makes sense that the EU is targeting Apple first.

You want to talk about fairness, but what the EU is doing can be argued as fairness for the consumers. If you want to interpret that in the same way as tax evasion, go ahead, but you'd be missing the point.

How are some people justifying payaing a fee to be on the platfrom?!
Would the platform be so appealing without the apps on it? The platform needs the apps.

Another week, another lawsuit against Apple for their questionable business practices.

toukale, 24 Jun 2024I don't agree with the EU in this case or how they wan... more'You don't want to pay Apple a fee fine, then don't be on the platform."

Now, apply the same logic to that company. If apple dont want follow the EU laws, and also dont want to pay the fines after being caught breaking the laws, then they should stop selling their products in EU market.

Also, it's not about 'not paying a fee'. It's all about 'pay through outside my platform is cheaper, pay through my platform is more expensive, and im greedy so i must make it harder for every customers/developer to pay through outside.'

                              Lol, not surprised at all

Mobile phone OS providers very tactfully avoided being treated like computers. Like, why should a smartphone be different from say a laptop! Usually, for a laptop one has the option to install different operating systems that also provide many sources for installing applications. Sadly, computers are also under "attack" to curtail these options. Thankfully, EU is taking this matter a little bit more seriously.

The EU is soon going to lose all business. They regulators at the EU "Eurocrats" are so unhinged, no startup in the EU can make it big unlike in America. Which is why 90% of the newer companies who make it big are located outside the EU. EU is red tape haven.
