It's not about stopping an app, it's about running multiple apps at the same time. Ever heard of multiwindow miltitasking on Samsung phones? That's Android multitasking at it's finest.

Actually, no. Here you can get a Haswell laptop as low as $830. I'm not doubting that Intel sells processors with a huge profit margin, but $1500 would be for the Ultrabook category.

Some of you people here are obviously quite shallow and still dont know how to read. The article clearly states that it will consume 25% less power. If any of you even went to school youll understand that it will be less demanding on battery. PLIZ THINK BEFORE YOU POST or just dont post anything at all because like they say the more you talk you begin to show how shallow you are.

It's a dirty marketing strategy. Even if smartphones that'd run on 3 Ghz ARM processor launches and if you get one, still you'd not be satisfied with the battery life. GSM Arena are given some special variant of the same phone, that's why their battery backup tests shows big numbers whereas in reality, if you use the phone it would barely last 7-8 hours on continuous usage and on a full charge.

Kill all the running applications, after some time, they all will be alive again. That's Android multitasking.

I've a 1.2 Ghz quad core processor which is based on Cortex A7 and 28nm fabrication, yet if playing graphics intensive games such as Riptide GP for 10 minutes, i can feel the heat it generates and how badly the battery drains. Android is such a resource hungry OS, i think it needs serious optimization. A 3 Ghz ARM processor which is based on 20nm fabrication will be definitely faster but a 5,000 mAh battery would be necessary for that and it will generate heat no matter how many times to deny it, so a cooling system is worth it.
