We don't have a extradition agreement with China, but with the US. And it's a complete different jusrisdiction. So there is much more danger for any European to give their data to the US, than to China.
I don't give a crap what China knows about me.
But yes, I use Android, because I'm not even relevant to the US. People, stop thinking you are so important. Just look for your bank account. And in so many years dealing with Chinese consumer shops and Aliexpress, I came to the conclusion that your credit card data in China is as safe as everywhere else.
Of course, considering your job, your milage may vary.

Who knows why? Could the phones be funded/subsidized by the Communist Party or the MS.S to help eavesdrop on people as-and-when they want? Buy Korean, Indian, Taiwanese, Finnish, Japanese, USA, etc. produced products instead. Stop using Modems/ TVs/ Printers with Wifi/ CCTV Cameras etc. or anything connected to the net which is made in Chin.

No problem for me, am i happy to get it... Naashhh, don't know what i can use it for in my daily use... Maybe it will be useful one day, im sure it will, but not in the next couple years.
