Anonymous, 09 Jul 2024Lmfao, why are you even comparing if other brands have SSC?... moreNo genius. It's proprietary to samsung yes. But Aptx Lossless is also :)

Your argument was 'it's lossless, the best codec, I'm enjoying hi end sound bla bla'.

Yet you see more and more companies still ignoring and going for Aptx, the codec you treat as trash :)

Those companies should learn the truth from you maybe? You seem to know the best...

It's samsung that's going to lose the customers, not Qualcomm. Keep being trapped inside Samsung ecosystem.

It's quite interesting that Apple uses aac which is widely available, yet ssc(the amazing codec) is only for those Samsung devices. Seems pretty much buyer friendly. :)

It's a code made by Samsung for themselves only. You could cut out a whole like 4 paragraphs from this entire comment just by understanding the fact that "Oh wait, Samsung made this code for themselves didn't they?"

Did they seriously exclude the Buds Live? Lol

Imagine a brand having all these customers in its forum asking for the support for a codec :

            https://www.change.org/p/samsung-aptx-bluetooth-audio-codecs-on-samsung-galaxy-s-devices

Which even led to creating a change org campaign. :)

            https://www.change.org/p/samsung-aptx-bluetooth-audio-codecs-on-samsung-galaxy-s-devices

The licensing is nothing to samsung! Nothing! Comparing it to the revenue the company generates. Yet, for the sake of pushing SSC, they skip it.

And here we have that particular people here talking bs about Qualcomm.

BTW SSC is inferior to the Aptx Lossless :) even Ldac. Ldac has high latency that's the only issue. Aptx Lossless is not that common in the market but coming.

And surprisingly we see companies dedicated to the Hi-Fi industry releasing tws with support of... Aptx :D muhahahahaha

Example? Final Audio! Tws series comes with Aptx Adaptive :)

            I have ze3000 and ze8000 mk2.

I'll skip Sony which is also a reputable company for audiophiles having legendary products like ier-z1r, ier-m9 etc. Just because they have their own hifi codec LDAC causes enough b..h.rt to these.

Let's see another company. Moondrop. Releasing their tws with... Aptx yes! Correct! Not SSC!
Moondrop even released a smartphone with the focus of audio. Guess what it doesn't have? The 'ultra amazing SSC codec from Samsung'. It's crazy ha they support aptx? :)

Another one Fiio also releasing tws adapters with Aptx, Ldac. I have utws5 bt adapter in my inventory.

Creative maybe not that reputable among the audiophiles but anyway. They also released their Aurvana Ace 2 series with the new xmems drivers supporting... What? Aptx Lossless! :) I also have one in my inventory.

There are many others like Noble Audio, Kz etc.

The point? Isn't strange that these successful hi-fi companies going for Aptx, Ldac mostly? Are they stupid? They don't realize that they'll get the most potential of their items with 'amazing SSC'?

Or maybe someone else has beem trapped in Samsung eco system just like Apple trapped their customers in their ecosystem. Apple uses only aac... But you know what? At least aac is widely available. Surprisingly the company which is considered the most greedy on the planet is less greedy when it comes to tws... :)

But the fanboy will say. I enjoy hifi sound with lossless codec from samsung. Haha lossless... Wasting money to streaming services to stream hifi sound which will be eventually limited by the codec itself... When it was released it wad first called Samsung scalable codec before changing into Samsung seamless codec. What it basically does, changing the quality of there's more noise in the surrounding area in order to keep the connection. So it doesn't even uses its full potential all the time favoring best connection over audio quality which you can't even control like in ldac.

Ignorance is bad. However, stupidity is even worse :)

earbuds without stem is my choice, it's sad samsung ditch the design. i mean small stemless earbuds is perfectly fit for a motorcycle user like me.

If anything, it gives you more flexibility to go either wired or wireless. When you remove it, you lost the ability to use wired audio while charges the phone. You have to get a 3.5mm dongle which wears out the USB port faster.

GS, 05 Jul 2024The new design are a disappointment . Nothing wrong with it, honestly people that don't have issues with how weird the design most have, would see this as a disappointment.

But as someone who prefers the older style buds had in the past (yes, wired ones), seeing TWS with same design is a good thing.

But "it looks like apple so it's bad", people get blinded by that and ignore every benefit of such design, design that existed before apple even made any wireless or wired buds.

What about the Galaxy Buds Live? They don't even mention them. I've had them for 3 years now, daily use, and they still last several days with the box. Great material qualitiy, too, not one damaged spot on them.

So, by copying Apple, they are helping boost Apple sales or Sony sales which still to this day have kept the headphone jack in their phones.

Buds+ were the best so far (minus the constantly twisting grip and ear-wax magnet). The only buds with enough battery life on a single charge to last the office hours. I got buds 2 as gift with S23 FE but they don't last that long.

Anonymous, 05 Jul 2024The same year Samsung start removing the headphone jack fro... moreLet's not forget that Sony did drop the headphone jack from their 2018 and 2019 flagship phones. Sony could've easily continued doing so in 2020 and beyond. But alas, common sense still wins the day. For audiophiles and videographers, having the still-relevant headphone jack still outweighs the trendy wireless earbuds, especially for zero latency experience.

The same year Samsung start removing the headphone jack from their flagship series, beginning with the Note10 series. Meanwhile, Sony put it back in the 2020 Xperia 1 ii and still keep it to this day, which is ironic since Sony also have their own wireless earbuds lineup.

Anonymous, 04 Jul 2024You forgot Buds Live Samsung. Not everyone can use buds ... moreWell they have the Buds 3 for that now.

I doubt the Buds3 will even have dual pairing or a pairing button - two important functions for me.
