Anonymous, 04 Jul 2024https://www.androidpolice.com/qualcomm-aptx-hd-open-source/... moreLearn to read the flippin' fine print. The open source bit is only the encoders and it only applies to Android AOSP, which for extremely obvious reasons isn't installed on any phones sold by Samsung.

I still use the 2019 buds, I got when I bought the S10, theu came with it. They have some flaws but are pretty good and solid overall. I see too many positive comments about the buds2 pro, waiting the release of the buds 3 pro so the 2 pro gets cheaper

NO! You can't reach the point where you can use the f. buds, because you can not pair them, without enabling the location.

Anonymous, 04 Jul 2024A cheapo Motorola with Unisoc supports AptX HD. Samsung ... moreThere is a $6,000 one-time payment alongside a per-device fee for full AptX decoding. Samsung sells something like 200 million Android devices per year. THAT is the reason Samsung isn't wasting money on an inferior codec. Stop buying into Qualcomm's lies.

Samsung doesn't want to support it because that would make the Samsung exclusive hi-res codes their own buds use, useless.

And they support LDAC because while it has high bitrate, it has too much latency to use with things like video or gaming.

That is why they also don't support LHDC that solves most of those issues.
