Blinking lights are good especially when you have your tws out of the case and lost them. They might help you to find it in the darkness.

And no, they don't blink while listening to music ao it shouldn't disturb you.

However, aside from this, I'll pass as I don't use Samsung sp. As long as Samsung keeps insisting on SSC, I'm out.

And I don't be fine using it with AAC, SBC. AAC is not advanced in Android world, Apple focuses in it more. Meanwhile, SBC is mature and energy efficient, it has limitations. Especially can be heard clearly with a device which has LDAC or Aptx HD/Adaptive. The highs and ultra high end in the frequency range is clearly limited with SBC to my ears. I hear more details, air.

I already mentioned it in another comment and I'm not sure it's gonna be published. So, I'm writing one more time.

When people like me criticize Samsung limited codec support, there are those fan..ys coming here throwing bs like:

'why samsung should pay extra for ldac or aptx... Samsung's codec is clearly superior'

My point is this. There are brands like realme releasing tws with less than half of the price with a more global codec like LDAC! When people buy these, they'll have more freedom while using them because LDAC is available widely. Same goes for Aptx, Aptx Adaptive. Even Aptx lossless getting more support as well and promising better specs than SSC.

BTW realme buds air 5 pro has even better specs despite the price being less than half! :)

It has LDAC firstly that won't trap you in Samsung. There's Ambient, ANC, dedicated app, gaming mode(Samsung doesn't have), better call mic quality :) longer battery :) it even has implementation with a planar tweeter giving you much more resolving ultra high end. Samsung uses DD tweeter. I used both buds2 pro and realme buds air 5 pro. Realme me was in the same level while being much cheaper.

Yet, we're here and we'll see those people, criticizing the ones who criticize samsung...

NoSamsungAtAll, 06 Jul 2024AAC and SBC, typical Samsung way making people angry. Who n... moreNo man. Don't criticize please.

There are fanboys here defending Samsung's 'amazing' sound quality and 'amazing' decision making strategies!

They'll come and start calling you names while throwing at your nonsense info like
    'amazing industry leading Harman target'
    'hdr music quality'
'it's gonna work with any Bluetooth device, who cares'
'I'm trapped inside the Samsung world, I've never looked above and checked other because they're surely bad amd i know the best'

Watch out for those geniuses. They'll attack you just because you criticized their 'amazing' brand. Probably, they have some stocks or even one of the shareholders of the company who knows. One thing is for sure. They're bu..hur.. When they see comments like yours or mine. :)

As long as Samsung keeps ssc special to the Samsung devices, I'll protest and not buy. I happily used buds+, buds pro, buds2 pro until i switched to Vivo.

I mentioned about Aptx, Ldac amd even other codecs like Aptx Adaptive, lossless.

But this bu..h... people keep saying why Samsung should pay extra for that bs according to their genius mind.

Meanwhile we see brands like realme releasing a tws with LDAC less than half of the price of current buds2 pro keeping all the features:
    ambient,
    anc,
    dedicated app,
    Gaming mode(buds don't even have),
Hybrid driver (dd+planar and Samsung used 2dd),
    Better call quality,
    Longer battery life...

But no! Of course no! We shouldn't criticize Samsung. We should listen to those samsung Eco system trapped id... with their genius ideas.

SBC/AAC? Wtf samsung is smoking for flagship TWS? not even adaptive APTX?

lol even mid end $70 moondrop golden age tws can transmit LDAC just fine

walkman8, 06 Jul 2024But why have them turned on in the 1st place? Potentially to help with visibility when you're running or biking in low light. However, it's probably mostly to distinguish it from the airpods and all the other stem buds that look like airpods. You won't mistake them for anything else.

Hope the new design works better and is more comfortable in practical day-to-day usage.

What caught my eye is the absence of any sign of speaker grill on the case itself. I wish I'm wrong but if it means there's no Find-my loudspeaker on the case, it's a huge SMH in 2024.

i also own an iem (kz zsn pro), yet i still use a bluetooth earphones most of the time because of one reason: convenicnece. i don't want to take out my earphones, attach a usb-c to 3.5mm jack, having to deal with the extra long cable mess i have now created thanks to the dongle, walk around with the cable constantly bumping into my chest and then getting that hitting sound delivered to my ears (ik there are cables that prevent that, i just couldn't be bothered) just for the sake of listening with superior audio quality and ''better'' frequency response. also my buds2 pro already has very good sound (i feel like my zsn pro's have too much bass). i am not writing this to hate on iem's, most of them are just better. but im just saying for the sake of convenience people just prefer bluetooth earphones compared to wired earphones nowadays

                          I'm more excited for the base open-ear Galaxy Buds 3. 😅 (non-pro)

I've once tried to find earbuds that match the following criteria:
                          - open-ear (to hear surroundings)
                          - non-apple
                          - look clean
                          - Vertical case
                          - Stem Design (easier to grab, falls less often & saves you from touching wax, clearer calls)

But these were SO DIFFICULT to find! I've settled with the "Edifier W320TN" & "Nothing Ear Stick" (which has a weird cylindrical case).

The rest of Android earbuds have silicon tips. Sony Linkbuds were too different & the Buds Live have failed. So, I'm super excited for the base Galaxy Buds 3. 👍

I don't care if people think it looks like Apple, they didn't invent stems & there's nothing wrong with copying great design!!! (Steve Jobs famously said in 1996: "'good artists copy; great artists steal -- and we have always been shameless about stealing great ideas.")

I'll keep my IEMs. They are cheaper. They sound better, look better and last 3 decades instead of 3 years.

Not a bad design at all. Stem or round both are equally good. If you hate this design just buy sony or bose or jabra. I have several tws earbuds. Soundcore is the brand that always have good feeling cases and is cheaper.
