Samsung should make sure that their HR/PRV/temp readings are accurate first.
They can't even compete with Apple and Huwawei on those measurements, as Quantified Scientist's measurements have repeatedly shown.
It doesn't matter how many what coloured LEDs you slap on your watch if they can't measure accurately worth damn.

Awaiting the test results on the health/fitness accuracy because this is Garmin territory. If they can compete with Garmin or Apple in that area, then I guess the Ultra can make a case for its price. Garmin does not have traditional LTE service. You can use it to text for emergencies, but you can't make calls or browse the internet.
I also want to see a smoother OS. The prior galaxies are not bad, but I do experience minor hiccups on my watch 5 pro. It doesn't have the same smoothness like the pixel watch.

I wish they made a less smart version with the same sensors and looks but with more lightweight SoC and OS, so that the battery would last at least 8 days. I would buy one without any second thought.

seems like Watch 7 will be a very solid upgrade, considering the sensors upgrade + Exynos W1000 on 3nm GAA

The Watch4 already had a larger battery than the Watch3 and yet its battery life was slashed in half by the move to Wear OS. Tizen at its height had plenty of apps for anything you could need, too...

Also, worse battery life lol? Go read how bad the Watch 4 fares compared to the Watch 3. Watch5 "solved" this by increasing battery size, but this doesnt means WearOS got any better at it.

samsung's existing 3 year old sensors were already lacking accuracy compared to its rival apple watch. this must be the biggest update yet for samsung. hopefully, the measurements will perform better in reviews.
my personal experience in a swimming workout was quite unusable. my HR hit 168bpm at the end of my workout which was normal. I cooled down, took a shower, dressed up and got out. my HR was still measuring 168bpm after 20-25mins!
