[deleted post]As a previous person said, no matter how premium material phone is made, most cheap to expensive iOS or Android, its battery will degrade eventually to no boot at all. Do homework before commenting next time.

[deleted post]Are you sure your phone actually have most premium and can last way longer than age of universe? Every battery no matter what brand or most luxury Vertu phone maker, its battery will degrade over a time for sure.

Anonymous, 10 Jul 2024Same for my Samsung S22 fast charger degrade battery alot f... moreHappen on my S23 ultra too I charge my phone more than first time boot on. fast charger just not good for current battery it’s like when use slow charger like putting box fill every gap, when use fast charger likely just throw the box end up a lot gap not filling. Just hope later future battery is mature enough.
If talk about those fanboys, just funny they think what they have is last forever. Battery degrade over a time eventually whatever use in electronic or mechanical. Just degrade and need to replace.

Cpt.Power, 10 Jul 202440W??? Even a 200 eur xiaomi have at least 67W and a 300 e... more100%. But the apple stem riders will of course suck all of the juice apple gives them, and deny / twist any and every senero to justify the lackluster features on an overpriced premium phone. Meanwhile OnePlus and Honor are introducing new battery technologies with their latest phones that have 6000mah, 100+ watt charging and higher wireless charging than apples wired. These new batteries will have less derogation than apples slower charging batteries and little to no battery derogation. Also, wasn't it apple that got caught throttling and and unethically using planned obsolescence to make their batteries worse? Trash company, simple minded users

I wouldn't waste my time buying 15 or 16. Apple will make you regret your purchase, by not giving update features like AI. Saying its the most powerful phone on planet but not powerful enough for basic software update...haha

Anonymous, 11 Jul 2024What's that got to do with what I said?
Iphones th... moreI have a woman colleague with a 5 year old iPhone 11. And she charges her phone always until 100%. And her battery health is at 84% after 5 years. She is medium user.
A man colleague with a 4 year old iPhone 12 Pro Max also charges his phone until 100% and his battery health is at 86%. But he is a hardcore user.
In comparison, I had multiple Samsung phones across the years (bought second hand, 3-5 years old models) and the batteries were really bad with very poor SoT (probably original batteries inside).
My father has a Realme 7 Pro (3 year old) and he charges the phone only with the original 65W charger. Even though he told me the battery is still decent, is nowhere near how it was 3 years ago. Maybe at half the SoT.

Anonymous, 11 Jul 2024Apple's battery life is pretty solid, there is no need... moreYeah right, I have Oneplus 8T and I always use the 65w fast charge, after 3 years of daily charging the phone SOT is between 4 to 5 hours vs 6 hours when I bought it. I find that perfectly acceptable after this time and so many cycles.

It destroys your battery...
If you have to use a fast charger, turn of the fast charging option in the settings if you have it and turn off the phone and charge it for 8 hours. Not more or less...

FatShady, 10 Jul 2024it doesn't have to be 40% faster, because each company... moreI know how charge curves work. But to have charge time difference measured in basically seconds between 25W and 45W, there has to be something VERY wrong with that. It's not 40% difference or 20% or even 5%. That just makes no sense at all. But they brag about the charge speeds, don't even include the charger and when they sell you the expensive 45W one, it doesn't even charge at 45W. Not even lower spec chargers reach their max speeds at ANY point. The 25W PD 2.0 charger basically never charges at 25W no matter how empty battery is. Starts at 25W and almost instantly drops to 20W. Voltme 30W GaN charger, despite supporting Samsung's protocol, NEVER charges at 30W. Neither did some other 65W charger that also supported Samsung's charge protocol. What's up with that? Meanwhile every single QC3.0 charger charged exactly at specified 18W rates.
I don't remember how picky my iPhone XR was, but they never really bragged about any charge speeds so I basically didn't care. It was like 10-12W. But if you advertise something, not delivering it almost at any point is false advertising. And I don't understand how Samsung is just allowed to do that and has been for years and years now.

Anonymous, 11 Jul 2024This is utter bullshit.
Charge below 90% and your battery ... moreWhat's that got to do with what I said?
Iphones that charge to 100% and drop under 20%, on a regular basis, lose their battery health faster. It's a fact.
Charging multiple times a day or using wireless charging a lot, also degrades batteries.
