Really strange, a 1.5k screen wi... moreIt's kind of competing with the Realme gt6 in China which also comes with a 1.5k screen, 8mp ultrawide and no telephoto. They are more gaming oriented phones with just a decent main camera. Also competing with the iQOO Neo9S Pro which is a little stronger in terms of cameras as it has a better 50mp ultrawide but still no telephoto. Otherwise the IQOO Neo9s Pro is very similar to the Redmi k70 ultra. The redmi k70 pro is available for not much more with a 50mp 2x telephoto and 12mp ultrawide and 2k screen. Consumers who want a better screen and camera setup, and still want a Redmi phone can go for the pro model. The pro model has the same rear cameras as the Xiaomi 14 Civi.

Really strange, a 1.5k screen wi... moreIf you want 4K it's better to plug your phone into big external display or TV, there is no point on 4K phone screen besides inflating spec sheet and making you charge the phone more frequently because it's FOUR times more intensive than 1080p display, and we all know screen is the hardware that consumes the battery the most.

K50 Ultra and K60 Ultra looks completely different from their siblings and more "inspired" by their newest flagship, look how K50 Ultra/12T looks compared to K50 and Xiaomi 12.

                              Xiaomi seems to be joking. Really strange, a 1.5k screen with a 120hz refresh rate??! You're really ridiculous Xiaomi! What's the meaning of all these downgrades? The D9300+ can support a 4k 120hz screen, 2k 150hz, and 1.5k 180hz, and yet you set the screen of this phone to 1.5k 120hz. I don't know, Xiaomi can be really annoying sometimes. It's as if they don't want to maximize the potential power of this Dimensity chipset. My hope was that the K70U could have a 1.5k 165hz screen or at least a 2k 144hz screen. The camera is also very disappointing, it's just a lousy 8+2 MP. Come on, even Realme and Vivo place a telephoto lens on their gaming phones' camera, or at least a 50mp ultrawide. I hope Xiaomi can realize the foolishness of this.

                                This will probably be 2,599rmb to match last year's price of the k60 ultra or maximum 2,699rmb. The k70pro though has now dropped in price from 3,299rmb to 2,799rmb. If the price is just 100 or 200rmb cheaper than the k70pro it may be a better option for the better screen and better camera setup. The only real advantage of the k70 ultra would be the ip68 rating.
