The fold 6 not at this price, but the flip not without DeX. This is why I'm not too interested in the Chinese alternatives either even though they're way better in terms of firm factors (especially the honor magic V3)

I have had og Fold, Fold 3(refurbished) and Flip 5.
No issues with Og Fold and Fold 3, they were great phones though Fold 3 refurb did not have screen protector.
Now with less than half year old Flip 5 screen protector suddenly started to show that issue which would break the screen so i went to local Samsung partner which should change that screen protector(Samsung has that warranty that you can change once in first year screen protector for free) and they said that actually it is not automated, they have to inspect the phone(even wanted to have passcode) and send information and pictures to Samsung to South Korea that would say if it is warranty screen protector change or not.
That process is up to 4(days!).
When i heard that i bought Oneplus 12 before giving my Flip 5 to them because i am not trusting Samsung anymore, i thought it would be just automated and i would get my phone back in maximum of few hours, but instead there is this big process where i even had to give my passcode to my phone and wait for up to 4 days before i could get my phone back and it is not even certain i will get that screen protector change.
And for those that did not know Samsung is not honoring the warranty if you just remove/replace the screen protector(by yourself) on their foldable phones and also if screen protector is getting bubbling it will eventually break the screen(and naturally Samsung says you have to pay to fix the phone which will cost huge amount of money).
I hope i will get my phone back with new screen protector and then i will sell it and probably that new user have to eventually choose will they pay for constant screen protector change or will they just remove it(which will according to Samsung remove the warranty of 2 years from purchase).
Before this Flip 5 i was huge fan of foldabels(and waited for rollable phones also) but now i am not going to buy those anymore before i can be certain there will be no issues like that(screen protector that will eventually break the screen if not changed and that warranty issue if you just remove bubbling screen protector before it breaks the screen).

Learning from my friends and colleague, Samsung Fold just no durable. Screen problem within one year.
Yet out there so many foldable with much better spec and value. No worth it to support a company that no sincerity to consumer.

PepperPot, 14 Jul 2024Fold 6 as soon as I decide on a color. Nobody here buys Ap... moreThis is due to the fact that you are on a website that focused on news and reviews about smartphones and other devices. The average consumer doesn't ask for additional information and doesn't care about specs, performance, quality etc. The average consumer sees an Apple and Samsung logo and chooses according to which one of both is more expensive and more fancy looking, so that he/she can boost his/her ego among his/her peers. It is a small minority that actually visits a website like this.

Vallabh, 15 Jul 2024You can install and have the launcher work. But unfortunate... moreI don't like it and I don't use, but my concern is display optimization especially when screen auto-rotate is on.
I tried it with multiple tablets (like Xiaomi and Honor) and it was a disaster except for Samsung tablets it works very well that's why I want to make sure before I pay such amount for the fold.

But unfortunately you'll not have stock taskbar and multitasking features available. If you use taskbar function a lot then I'm afraid third party launchers are a no.

I have a question for Fold owners, even previous models, does Nova Launcher work well on this phone?
It's a deal breaker for me.

I still have no interest in returning to the book-style foldable screen smartphone since I've gone dual display with my current LG V50, so the Z Fold6 is an easy pass. I want to like the Z Flip6, but it suffered from the same problem as the Z Flip5 by not having DeX support, either wired or wireless. Motorola can still give Wireless Smart Connect (formerly Ready For) to the 2024 RAZR despite not having a USB-C 3.1/3.2 port with wired video output. The only problem with Motorola is that it's not officially available in my country. So while I can import one, warranty and spare parts can be a nightmare.

Not only I don't want any folding gimmicks, even if I did it wouldn't be these oversized monstrosities. It'd hunt for a Find N2. Same featureless garbage experience, but at least it's size presented a reason for a folding phone to exist.
I don't need a dinner tray that unfolds into an even larger dinner tray.
