The price increase is just a bit too much for how little it changed. Maybe for someone coming from a Fold 3 it would be worth it to upgrade due to the trade in deals but people on a fold 4 or fold 5 should probably wait. Most reviews I've seen don't show much of an increase in battery life. Only a very minor improvement due to 8 gen 3 efficiency. Samsung really should have put a bigger battery in the Fold 6. I might have upgraded if they increased battery size.

I have pre ordered the flip 6, mainly because I wanted the flip 5 when it came out but have 9 months left to run on my contract.

Now it has ran out happy with the minor improvements that should add up to a better functioning phone (better camera, battery battery life, slightly better crease, ai translation feature)

The translation feature is something I already use alot on my s22 so happy it's being improved further l, wheb travelling europe it's a must.

My only hesitation is the screen aspect ratio, not sure how much I will like it. If it's junk will just see what trade in they have for the s25 and consider swapping back to a slab phone

Techgg, 14 Jul 2024we still have devices like the vivo x fold 3 pro which meet... moreI mean, the Vivo X Fold3 Pro doesn't have a dual telephoto setup. It's still got a very competitive camera setup to Samsung's bar phones, but it does not have a long-range telephoto that accompanies its 3× periscope telephoto. Otherwise, yes, it is definitely on par at the very least.

Techgg, 14 Jul 2024we still have devices like the vivo x fold 3 pro which meet... more software and after-sales support that are still holding me to Samsung. With regular smartphone after-sales service availability is important, but with foldables it's super important.

              What a massive huge mistake.
Where is the answer there are better foldables and flipables out there???

All, any and every competitor especially huawei, honor, xiaomi, oppo, motorola and several other brands offers much better specced devices at less costs.
Like anyone willing to pay 2300 euros for something which others sells at 1200-1700 with way more specs, all neccesary accesories in box and does not looks like 4 years old device Z fold 3 or Z Flip 3with equal specs, battery camera, charging speeds, ram just slapped newer CPU and GPU.

GAMIR3DH, 14 Jul 2024Fold 6? Yes! I love the new squared design. But Flip 6? I ... moreI have a Fold5, but after 11 months, the main internal display came off for no reason. Samsung refused me a warranty repair and asked for an additional €800 for the repair. I don't trust Samsung anymore, it's a bad experience. I'd rather buy the Honor Magic V3

Once the camera, battery and charging technology outweighs my s23u's hardware, I'll upgrade to the upcoming Fold

...in 2029, with this pace of upgrades.

Fold 6 as soon as I decide on a color. Nobody here buys Apple or Samsung. Yet, they both sell the most. The people here don't represent the average consumers in anyway.

Thullraven, 14 Jul 2024If you are in the U.S. you don't have those options. Yes you do. The Motorola Razr 50 Ultra is sold in the US, just under a different name — Motorola Razr+ (2024). The OnePlus Open is sold in the US as well.

I find it pathetic when people immediately want to get the newest model, even though it's not really that much better than the previous year's model. As far as I'm concerned, you shouldn't really have a reason to upgrade (unless the phone breaks/presents issues) until the Z Flip7 or 8

With all my bonuses and trade in of my Flip 5, I can get a new Unlocked Flip 6 for $339 directly from Samsung. Should I do it? Could use some opinions. Thanks in advance.

                              Hard pass, no thanks

Same joke like last year. The same 25W charging speed, mediocre cameras and lack of reliability. There are other foldables out there that are 10 times better and a bit cheaper.

Hell naah, 2022 devices with 2024 chipsets for the price of a cheap car. What a joke.

No. Both of them have much better alternatives.

Z Fold6 is beaten by the Honor Magic V3 (though Samsung software is much better) and by the Vivo X Fold3 Pro (beats Samsung in hatdware *AND* software). Hell, even the OnePlus Open/Oppo Find N3 make for a compelling purchase over Samsung, and that one's almost a year old.

Z Flip6 is beaten thoroughly by the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra (though that one doesn't have an ultrawide) and by the Honor Magic V Flip.

Fold 6? Yes! I love the new squared design.
But Flip 6? I don't, the screen is too tall, i tried a Z Flip 3 and is not my style of phone.
