Skylinestar, 14 Jul 2024My dad is still using Samsung Note 5.Maybe he has simple usage. Youtube app stopped working on my Note 3 in 2021. Maybe not 100% but it won't run without clearing data. And Brave also dropped android 5.

Tried repairing my other phones but something else would break. So it's an endless cycle of spending that would total the price a bnew cheap phone. It sucks.

Call it a renting phone no.
I buy on a 2 years contract after which when device is paid is mine. I can keep it for as long as i want but why to keep a 2+ years old device just to degrade even more in value when i can sell it and buy a new phone.

By your comparison every user have enough to buy even a 16 pro max with 1TB dsk space instantly from it pockets or by swiping his card at counter.
        Well wrong.

Buing on contract were always cheaper because depends on carrier monthly plan you could have any dvice you wanted for even half price or better.

Honeslty having O2 Telefonica. Paying 37 euros monthly for unlimited calls and text in EU and have 40GB of data per month. This monthly plan covered my latest main device i have which is Motorola edge 40 pro 12/256GB version which i bought last year 2023 of july.
For this device which costed 789 euros instantly but i bought it on monthly network carrier plan i pay 16 euros a month for next 2 years. so in 2025 uly device will be paid and will be mine. I can keep it for longer or as usually sells it when it still have a decent value to anyone i want for most profit.
So for example will sells it for 300 and buy another device on a monthly network carrier plan which i will pay for example another 16 euros monthly for a 800 eur device.

Like i said when its paid is mine i can keep it for as long as it keeps working or get a new phone and sells my old phone. Which will earns me few more cash for hollidays summer season for example.

Basically you're just a corporate slave and you're forced to change your device every 2 years, useless bunch to be honest.

Pl. furnish one+nord4 cost and when will it available in d market... 😊

              Like anyone cares.
Me and many people here in Slovakia or Europe buys phones on contracts from network carriers usually lasting 2 years and then they try to sell their old device when it still have decent value.
Having a 6 years old phone even still updated will gets bare 50 euros or less value.
And a 6 year odl phone will be useless for most apps especially games because you cant update software but you cant update hardware and phone will be sluggish when playing AAA games on a 6 years old phone.
Laggs, freezes and high FPS will be a common issues of that phone.
6 years old phone is good for photography and maybe brownsing or facebook, tik tok etc.
              Useless to be honest.

Samsung is well known in this regard. I have personal experience from this. Also, I see a lot of S22 and S23 series models in second hand shops. I mean why would so many people ditch their S22 Ultra's or S23 Ultra's? We are talking about the best phones in Android in last 2 years (except S24 series).
In comparison, is so hard for me to find any iPhone 15 Pro Max or 14 Pro Max models in same second hand shops.
Is always easier for Apple, because they have fewer models to take care of. Also, they are in control of both the software and hardware part.

What should really matter is the amount of security patches, and not a new OS number that brings little to no useful changes.

how is it more efficient and money saving?

by the time I've gone through two phones, some'll have sent their money to the shareholders & c-suite execs of companies 6 times. For the shareholders it is clearly more efficient if we all upgrade. That's why they continue to put up these offers.

                                      spend your money irresponsibly,

And guess what, just a few more money and you get a brand new phone that runs circles on your old ones.
