Next Time think of different design Ouga. Don't give feeling of buying retro style & Budget Design phones for a price which is 3x more than the Budget Design Phones. A good design is equally important if you want to sale it successfully with better camera, charging, battery life & performance.

1600 battery cycles in Oneplus/Realme/Oppo is totally underrated in my opinion. It's like double the life of smartphone. 1000x more useful than overhyped OS updates which add basically nothing useful these days and sometimes they make things worse.

The reason there are no metal back phones anymore is not 5G but wireless charging. Of course he did not mention that this device does not come with wireless charging, whereas higher end phones do. 5G is just a buzzword here and them highlighting their antennas are „50% smaller“ (compared to what even?) is just marketing to make it seem like they achieved something special.

5 major Android updates should be the minimum standard. Modern phones can easily run anything you throw at them, it's so wasteful to make them obsolete only after a few years.

        8 years for flagships.
        5 years for mid-rangers.

Vikass17, 12 Jul 2024Exchanging old phone is much more efficient and money saving.Even if you exchange a perfectly working old phone (which usually fetches the highest exchange value)it isn't worth exchanging....Let's say you trade in a 3yr old flagship, you'd at most get 200-250usd depending on the conditon and let's say you buy a 1000usd flagship, you still need to give 750usd in addition to replace a perfectly working phone. Not to mention the ewaste generated by disposing a perfectly working phone...how is that even efficient or cost effective?

P.S. I still use a pixel 4a with official los which works well as a secondary device!

Any time I see it... still ugly. I can not believe it! I was eyeing the Ace 3V for a long time, and I was hoping and expecting. And look at this thing!

Our only hopes are Notebookcheck and other sundry reviewers who actually bother with testing reception qualities. Cybershack is out of the question since OnePlus isn't available in Australia.

I can't believe noone here asked "how often"? And people here are supposed to be advanced users. Says a lot about consumers in general.

Do a signal strength test and comapre to glass/metal and full plastic phones in your review.

Vikass17, 12 Jul 20243 OS and 4 years security. More than that is just wasting money.I'm using my current phone for 6 years now, (lineage OS ftw!), by using it for longer I'm saving money, you must a person with a very special brain to think that using something for more than 4 years wastes your money. how does that even work?

The metal body is certainly welcome since the wording here makes it seem like it will not interfere with signal reception (unlike with Samsung's metal phones and their idiotic antennae set-up). And the six year software support policy is the cherry on top.

My only hope is that the frequency bands support isn't totally neutered for our market, as was the case with the CE4 and CE4 Lite (to hell with both of those models). The SD 7 and 7+ Gen 3 have a fantastic modem, and it'd be outright criminal to suppress its capabilities.

Here's hoping this model goes the way of the Realme GT6T. That phone's SOC is the same and the frequency coverage is impressive.

Noice, just hope that they do the same for Oppo Reno, since OnePlus is not available in my country.

Vikass17, 12 Jul 2024What did Android 13 and 14 do? I never feel much other th... more2 words: Less freedom

7+ Gen 3 is powerful enough to handle 4 years updates.. good from OnePlus and this is not a flagship.. I think the upcoming Xiaomi 14T series could be 4 OS and 6 years security updates too or maybe 7.. Xiaomi could surprise me.
