                  Anonymous, 13 Jul 2024Scamsung has sky high prices, looks horrible, is very heavy... moreit's time to give neither of them your money and let them tank their sales and improve their phones more. Google should sell for 200-400 dollars cheaper due to their lackluster hardware and even software at points.

                  Samsung should either improve their hardware or reduce prices. No point in giving discounts to the most popular countries and stuff and making yourself out to be cool when you have sky high MSRP in other countries.

                  Not to mention they still make huge profits when they sell even on discounts, why else would they give discounts then? It's all just to squeeze out as much sales/profit as possible. And higher sales mean more people have your phone which could give word of mouth or make others "jealous" that someone else has a good/better phone. And they can also show higher sales figures to investors or to the public and make it seem like they're doing amazing and others could be like "wow this is the most popular one, I think I'll go get this".

                  A lot of tricks can be used by these corporations for stuff like this and one of them is AI. Software is cheap to make and easy to distribute, it's like printing money for these guys.

                  Never underestimate the gullibility of buyers and the sh*ttiness of corporations. Business is fun to learn about but it's all just a way of squeezing the most out of your customers, ethically or not.

If your budget is tight, buy the Pixel 8a for $499. Anyway Samsung will be destroyed by Apple with the launch of the iPhone 16.

                                  Nice, but not nice. You need to round the edges, otherwise it feels like a brick in a hand.

                                    Few things to note:

                                    1. Pixel Pro XL is the worst name I've heard in a while. Imagine calling it that a few generations later.

                                    2. For so much money only thing we paying for is probably a new design, faster processor and probably more AI which is probably paid subscriptions after 2 years.

                                    3. At least the XL is more compact than the Galaxy. Then again it's still big flat phone. Ergonomics of smartphone is going down the drain now.

                                    4. Far as I can see, the Pixel 9 series may be announced or "revealed" in August but I'm pretty sure it'll be officially introduced and sold in October. So pretty much similar to Apple.

                                    If you're not after anything faster the Pixel 8 series is still a much more compelling option and should go down in price way more than Pixel 9. Alternatively wait another year for Pixel 10. The 9 is solid, but not compelling enough.
