thick bezel and still make tear drop for the camera

Love xcover series with removable battery 🤩

4000 mah, 15w... no tnx. I understand, co OIS, no gaming, but not even a phone with bug battery and fast charging. Junk,

I just hope there's a Pro version serving as the XCover6 Pro successor with a newer Snapdragon 7 Gen 1/3 SoC and at least 8GB RAM.

Removable back & battery all while being water resistant... wow.

That's the neat part, THEY DON'T.

Samsung again snubbing the Galaxy X series to give more spotlight over it's sister lineups (S, Z, M, and A).

The Galaxy X series has some features than other Galaxy phones don't, a removable battery (for safety) and headphone jack.

It's designed for a work or outdoor environment where rough use is normal and water could be involved.
I used the Xcover 4 for work, and never had problems. It was reliable and tough. I dropped it many times and had to wash it, with no problems. I'm an engineer and worked in some tough environments, such as tunnels, inside chemical tanks, and also high dust/ pollution environments.

After they launched this phone, I went to the biggest Samsung exclusive store in my city to check this out, and the staff there was so dim and clueless, they have never heard about this model when I asked about it, and despite me showing them the phone on Samsung website, they told me that maybe I was talking about a cover for the note 7 🤦 🤣

That's strange, I dislike a lot of things about One UI, but having to unlock your device to control it is absolutely a good thing, hate that some phones don't have that option.

Isn't that a GOOD THING? Because that means Samsung's "Find My" clone (as well as Google's Find Device) won't become useless because the thief can just turn off all the radios or turn on airplane mode on a lesser device like Pixel or most China phones, and your device becomes literally impossible to track...

potato4k, 15 Jul 2024Stupid. Fingerprint sensor is useless in an environment ... moreThey could've at least used an Iris scanner instead. If that was possible in a low end tablet back in 2016 (Galaxy Tab Iris), what stops them from using it in a far expensive mobile phone?

At the same time, rugged phones from Nokia and obscure brands such as Doogee and Ulefone feature fingerprint scanners. At least, the Galaxy S7 and S8 Active phones had fingerprint sensors. Same thing with the short-lived Galaxy XCover FieldPro and Tab Active devices. If so, why should they omit them in the first place?

To make matters worse, why would they implement a dated PLS TFT instead of an IPS display? The target audience simply has better options elsewhere.
