- Supported devices list grows in length, apparently with each iteration of iOS
iOS is generally regarded as a pretty secure OS, sometimes that’s down to opinion but I certainly agree with that statement.

- Resale value is maintained for far longer than equivalent devices from other manufacturers.

As an android user in the uk I'm not surprised. Let's be honest android phones apart from a few have been total trash this year. Brands can't even name their phones anymore and they're not delivering for the lower end and midrange. Also they're filled with bloatware that drain battery life. I know you can remove this with software on git but it would be nice not to have it jn the first place. If you've got a bit more cash just get an iPhone headache free. Android phone manufacturers need to step up big time

Galaxy S 24 Ultra, 16 Jul 2024In India, it is normal to see stinky rich people carrying s... moreI earn Rs.1.5 Lakhs per month and even I still use my 7 year old Redmi phone. Phone is still working fine for web browsing and WhatsApp with Android 14 custom ROM. For more heavy usage, I have a laptop.
I'm unable to justify throwing away a perfectly good working phone. Maybe this is because we are taught about the 3R's in school, ie reuse, reduce and recycle.

Many don't buy iPhone Pro series in India as prices for that is very higher in India. We can even catch a flight to Dubai or Singapore to buy iPhone there and still save some money.

These gen z kids do not have the responsibility to build house as they get their fortunes saved by their parents working in corrupt government setups and their only goal is to spend the money and do office romance!

If he had waited a little longer he would have fulfilled his dream of having an iPhone. Apple is taking too long with its affordable iPhone. His father was probably a real cheapskate.

[deleted post]For ordinary people, Apple is a good purchase. You can buy a new one every year, losing about 200 dollars in depreciation. Smartphones from Samsung or other manufacturers depreciate too quickly. A competitor for iPhones can only be Samsung S series and not any scum like OnePlus or Tecno.

An Urban Clap service executive ,who had come to clean my bathroom for about 600 Rupees had a iPhone 13/14 Pro Max!! When I asked him for QR code he showed me the iphone! I paid him with my vanilla iphone 15!! Yes people are so crazy about the Pros in india, so crazy that it's not healthy.

I have seen people who lives in a maybe below $20K house in india but are crazy about having an $1K iphone.
And i have seen people who live in a maybe above $100K house in india but are doing fine with their $200 phone.
Sometime i laugh when i face both type of people.
But it's okay.
In the end it's their choice.

People buy obsolete models for cheap price. Apple tries its best to rebadge the refurbished ones as new without attracting the regulator through various processes. But in India, large number of Pro and Pro Max models are sold through scalpers from Dubai, Hongkong, Singapore and even from USA. If you add these numbers, it will be staggeringly very high.
