excellent challanger for iphone 5. in fact the only challanger for iphone 5 customers. i hope the music on headphones will sound the same loud and clear like at the last four htc models with beats special hardware amplifier built-in: htc one,butterfly,8x and 8s. this amplifier rises the output current with 8 volts and is very helpful to "open" big headphones with impedance over 70 ohm. on my htc 8x i use sony xb 800. thanks htc for making real music mobiles. after nokia n91 with harman-kardon amplifier built-in, no one sounded better than nokia n91. but your last models: one,butterfly,8x,8s bring back the real boom in headphones. the ultra pixel camera makes excellent job, because the big resolution counts only for printing on paper.the dimension of pixels is much more important for better light, colours and contrast. the 4 mp in 16:9 native aspect ratio make the best job for viewing real good photos on big lcd/led/plasma with 1080p resolution. no one prints on paper nowdays. on tv the resolution 1920 x 1080 = 2 mp sharp !!. so 4 mp are more than enough

I am going back to plastic. I am tired of the paint to rub off on the back on my HTC One S.

Will there ever be an 8 MP Ultrapixel camera? Just a thought.. I'll settle for that any day.

Yes good job HTC! Good move to smaller phones. We do not need giant phones with even more giant battery just to get thru a day.

What is the use of a giant phone that does not even show more information?

Android 4.2 is giant phone UI, and android have ZERO (YES ZERO) good tablet/plablet optimised applications. Making all above 4.3 inch useless devices.

          "SAY NO TO GIANT PHONES"

If priced right, This could be HTC's best seller.

If the camera/speaker performance is equal to the big HTC One and it has a decent performance and LTE, I much prefer the 4.3" screen to the 4.7" and will definitely get the Mini once it's released.

ImTheOne, 14 Jul 2013The back looks like Xperia PIf you think looks similar to any other phone ever created in the history of the universe except the htc one then you really need to start school all over again

I hope this phone pack at least 2000mAh battery otherwise it will be a loser. HTC should take after Samsung in term of battery.
And hope HTC included at least 32GB of built-in Storage (if no SD card slot

So it's essentially an HTC first with an ultrapixel camera and in the shrunken body of the HTC One.

Dualcore and 1GB RAM on Android means lag will be all over the place.

I WAS going to get this phone BUT two things have stopped me from getting it: 1. This not a "mini" version by any means, it's just as big as the HTC One (ok, maybe 1 or 2 mm shorter)... And 2. HTC has taken way too long to launch this god damn phone!... I got tired of waiting... Hello Moto X (thin bezels, better specs), good bye HTC One "Mini".
