I want a phone like this but not with the ultra pixel crap..
an 8mp sensor with a single led flash is OK for my photography expectations from a device of about 500$

I can stomach the other spec downgrades compared to the One, but my spider sense tells me 1gb of RAM is a no go. Unless they plan on making the Mini super cheap, I'll pass!

Only 1 GB of ram? Sense is a massive resource hog. In the HTC one only 800 MB's of the 2 GB's of ram were usable compared to the 1.5 GB+ of available ram in the nexus 4 and other phones. With only 1 GB and sense the ram will be particularly nonexistent.

HTC are committed to using that useless 4MP camera. However this phone is going to be cheaper. It might JUST get away with such a glaring fault.
