Apple iPhone SE 4's back cover to be the same as iPhone 16

    Instead of regular iPhones I'd rather but Samsung S24. Miles better phone. If you want compact phone of course. But after using Samsung A52 I got used to large phones and bought S24 Plus. Much better than my sister's iPhone 15 Pro Max.

They don't care about refresh screens or how good the optical zoom is. They just want a new iOS phone while not braking their bank account.

And like I said, a lot of ppl who are buying SEs will be dissapointed, that doesn't mean it didn't sell well. It is a cheaper iPhone after all.

            How is this going to have the same backing as the 16? That would mean the vanilla 16 also has just a single rear camera. I think someone is getting their information mixed up.

                      The problem with the last 2 SE iPhones is the useless tiny battery, which is useless for modern day smartphone use. If the SE4 rectifies this, it will be selling like hot cakes, especially if it also supports Apple Intelligence.

                        Imo for cost and scale wise, it would be cheaper for Apple to just use the A18 for the SE4. It's the trend anyway, for the SE to use the flagship chip.

If you want great image quality, go buy a full-frame camera. If you want 3 mobile cameras, buy the PRO model. Used iPhones, like other phones, are in most cases garbage because most of them were repaired with non-original components or need repair. Among Android smartphones, the only alternative is the Samsung Galaxy S24, all others are not an alternative. Not everyone likes to film their asses for Tik Tok with ten mobile cameras or see every millisecond of the screen. I will be very happy if this smartphone will cost 499 dollars because I do not need the options offered by the main model line. I don't need a house with 10 bedrooms in which I will only use 1.

                              The big question is, will the SE4 use the A18, and thus support Apple Intelligence? If it does, the SE4 is definitely a winner and the phone to get, because why would anyone buy the more expensive iPhone 16 models, other than for the camera? And it will definitely put a sour taste for iPhone 15 buyers who won't get Apple Intelligence.

                                Apple has learned with sale numbers crippled phones don’t sell well. Thus there’s the AI trend they’re pushing as well. So I’m expecting the new SE to ship with A17, which will be still a lot better on performance than mostly all mid range offerings.

                                Regarding the single camera, I’m not critical at all as long as they employ their 48MP sensor and matching optics. After all there’s a lot of cost saving over multiple camera setups. For instance, not a single manufacturer offers triple cameras with all of them sporting a large 200MP sensor, so users seeking the best quality seldom use anything but the main camera.

I mean, why else would they have been a staple of countless Androids for the better part of a decade eh 🤔

                                  Heck it’s not like Android oem’s have been chucking them in for no other reason than to then say a phone has a ‘multi camera’ set up, right 🤷

                                    But now with Samsung promising 4 years of major-OS with Galaxy A25 & above, Google promising 7 years of major-OS with the Pixel 8a. There isn't a reason anymore to buy the SE...

                                        I'm convinced apple made this phone solely so people who want iphones but can't a mainline phone buy an SE, realise how awful it is, and take a monthly contract for a higher end iphone.

                                        That and 50 year olds who's kids complain that they need an iPhone so they get a cheap one to shut them up
