As long as you can disable it no issues at all.

Yep, radically different like no USB port, mediocre camera set (ai will do all the heavy liftings), mediocre soc (again aided by ai to mask out the lag), and small battery (also ai will manage the consumption). The result, extra thin phones and max profit

GAMIR3DH, 22 Jul 2024AI can be done on Device tho.Yes it can by I'm suspicious when a business

Especially Samsung that doesn't represent RADICAL change in any way

Why are they so motivated with A.I especially when you consider that business is business.. it raises eyebrows for me

notafanboy, 22 Jul 2024Unfortunately all the major OEMs are pushing this AI crap. The problem begins only when people start using it. WE are the problem, not they. They could be pushing anything anywhere if people refuse to use it. That's the truth.

Whatever Ai features are cool for as long as they run entirely locally on the phone. Then go for it. I have all my Ai features set to local only on my S23 Ultra. And I plan on keeping it that way. Then again, all this "Ai" stuff is rather underwhelming. Like for example the photo Remaster. I've seen some really good "Ai" services that "remaster" photos and some like VanceAi really do wonders most of the time. The "remaster" feature on my Samsung, not so much. It just tweaks colors a bit and sharpness. Doesn't really look much different. If only they could make such things actually good.

I profoundly dislike all that complications with the AI phome. If someone is gonna be intelligent in the mix, that would be me. And in control, also.

Year 2024 is a year full of over-crap AI shit on the side of the road 🙄🤦🏻‍♂️
The more lazy people support this, the bigger those industry head grow 🙄

Enable the power of the internet for tech-agnostic users, while they don't have to worry about where the flippin' app or device sub-settings are hidden. That is why AI is booming, not because you want to think AI is only about generating followers on social media using stolen content.

Give us Jarvis with holographic UI.

Ai should be a feature and not a standalone product🗣️
I mean, apart from programming queries and formal /corporate/educational queries
There is no need of heavy reliance on ai🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️

A.I. is not for us consumers

The OEMs are pushing it hard because it helps THEM
Mine more data from us more accurately to be sold or manipulated later

I don't see AI as a device, there is no point of making an AI phone, watch, etc

What I think makes more sense is to make an AI version of the already present softwares like Android 15 AI, which requires specific Soc specs, and has more integrated language models in everything

And keep the non AI versions for the mobiles that has older specs

Based on this, Samsung is going a direction that I find highly repellant. My S23U will probably be the last Samsung I have
