Company A (Sony) starts charging more for their components, so company B (Apple) starts looking for other sources to maintain margin.
The same reason Apple is sticking with BoE to save money from buying Samsung panels.

This is getting really silly now. iPhone 18 specs? The 16 isn't here yet. Nobody knows what Apple will launch 3 iterations ahead, not even Apple.

Every iphones' upgrade always followed by competitors. iphone 14 with bds satellite, iphone 15 with titanium case. Apple should make cheap iphone and i believe no ones will follow.

Edited dng is far better than jpeg of edge 50 ultra.
These enhancements some brands do to make photos " appealing" actually ruin the photos. Oil painting, wax, cartoonish style etc ..

Going from Sony sensors to Samsung's one sounds like a downgrade in any way you put it.
Samsung's sensor are pretty bad imo. And for those who say they arent, did you already forgot about the banana gate issues of the S23 lineup?

Dr. Watson, 24 Jul 2024I mean... Xperia is made by Sony...Sony division responsible for their electronics do not earn discounts to use exmor. Mark 1 had 3 samsung sensor, mark 2 had two.
10 series has used sk hynix for 16/54mm cameras.
Same way many Samsung phones have exmor, sk hynix and even galaxycore
