It's possible they're only changing one core to be A710/A715, but this is all are just preliminary scores. Android 15 is not even fully out when the Geekbench was tested, so the scores are limited to some point because the OS is just not ready or stable just yet. Just wait until Android 15 is officially released and OneUI 7 is on the beta stages. These scores would be much better in the next leaks.

Though 2.91GHz A710/A715 would be cool to see with the rest 2.8GHz A78. Samsung had maximized their optimization for A78+A55 configuration with the Exynos 1480, so It's going to be interesting what more optimization can they put on the 1580. They've been going crazy with these Exynos and MediaTek optimizations. Just take a look at how the A35, A34 and A15 performs after all these years they've been struggling to perform at consistent performance with It's predecessors.

I hope this score is not fully accurate. Cause 7 gen 3 manages higher single core score with lower clocks, are they using a78 again???

Hope Samsung will optimise the 1580 GPU so Poco fans can finnally shut up about their 2k+ flops gpu

Of course it will not overheat it will be made on modern manufacturing node 5/4 nanometers or so considering it will be like 2021 flagship chip on new node, it will be super efficient.

ProMax Ultra, 30 Jul 2024Ohh,didn't knew about it. But still its possible to... more i think they will try to take the upcoming snapdragon 7 gen 4 head on , at least it looks like it with the CPU , i think they are going with cortex A720 and A520 because they will not be able to compete with cortex A78 and A55 ,after all exynos 1480 is only slightly behind the snapdragon 7 gen 3 in CPU performance, however for the GPU i think it will all depend on how much they are willing to compete with the upcoming Adreno GPU of snap 7 gen 4.

also exynos 1580 have lower clock speeds than the dimensity 8200 ( one core at 2.91GHZ and 3 at 2.6GHZ for the exynos 1580 VS 3.1GHZ for one core and 3GHZ for the remaing A78 cores of the dimensty 8200) and it managed to get a score of 3678 in multicore in geekbench 5 so it will be around 4000 in geekbench 6 surpassing dimensity 8200 even with lower clock speeds for its performance cores ,this indicates that exynos 1580 is indeed using A720 cores.

We are talking about upper midrangers here, mentioning an older flagship phone is pointless in this discussion.

A much more realistic comparison here would be one between the Realme GT 6T and the Galaxy A55, since they are both upper midrangers (well, one is, while the other is just priced like one). In this comparison, the A55 is manufactured garbage up against the GT 6T.

Desolate Intention, 29 Jul 2024What is this logic? AnTuTu is less accurate because the sco... moreAntutu gives a more accurate score because it tests every performance-related component in your phone, the SOC, its GPU and even the storage chip.

The scores for the individual components are also shown, giving a clear picture of which component is strong and which component is weak.

Let me give you an example:

The Snapdragon 680 seems super close to the Snapdragon 720G based on Geekbench scores, but it's a lot slower based on Antutu scores?

Why is that? It's because Geekbench only measures performance of the CPU in its benchmark, leaving the GPU unchecked. The GPU used in the Snapdragon 680 is the same GPU that's in the Snapdragon 662 (Adreno 610) and it SUCKS. The Adreno 618 used in the Snapdragon 720G performs much better and that is reflected in the 720G's much higher Antutu score.

This is what I mean when I say that Antutu is the more accurate benchmark.

But still its possible to get the the claimed improvement in performance with A78 cores.
Look at E1480 vs D8200 benchmarks-
                                *Galaxy A55(E1480).....SC-880.....MC-3260
                                *Xiaomi 13T(D8200).....SC-1020...MC-3900
So D8200 being A78+A55 has even more performance than this rumored E1580.

Also Performance & Efficiency wise A715 is almost on par with A78. So similar clocked A715 vs A78 are expected to perform almost similar on similar node.

So it canbe anything but personally im not expecting A715 because it's samsung,we're talking about.
But it'd be positive surprise from Samsung if they decide to give A715 for E1580.
GPU is still expected to be somewhat lackluster but still a good CPU performance improvement is welcomed from current Samsung.
