I have done the same for many companies. You have seen me do it for Nokia and even agreed. "which again as usual is where this whole thing started".
You got offended by people saying good things about Samsung so by your logic am I to assume you are a jealous hater?
But you will twist it into every assumption to call me a Samsung fanboy. You don't have to be a fanboy to understand the benefits of something or defend trolling.

So now they updated the article with a reason, after beeing asked by me and others in the comment section.
But they left the word good in there, and that reason is simply a reason, and not a good one.
Plus the word compact make little sense in.. Phones today aren't exactly compact, they are thing, yes. Clamshell phones were generally much more compact than todays large screened devices, due to the fact that they had smaller screens.
A good clamshell today, would still have to max out at 3.5 inch or probably less, to be usefull. And with modern battery technology, and the technology to make thin (amoled) screen, it could have both inner and outer screen without wasting to much space.
And the travel of the keys wont be much either, it would probably like the phone in the picture use those "laser etche" keys like the Razr, not the best system but at least they are pretty thin.
By that reasoning it would still be quite compact compared to todays 4.5" and upwards, the cubic volume might be the same, but that would not make is less compact just with another distribution (smaller screens + notification screen + keyspad and directional keys instead of larger screen)
I still say it's not a bad idea to make flip phones again.
But they do need what could be called a mid end or even high end one to drive the sales and turn the trend, and there will most likely not be one, if not something monsterious that has both a large screen and is a flip phone, and that certainly wont turn the trend. We need a small bezel 3.2 inch or so tocuh AMOLED screen, but with pretty high resolution for it's size, a decent keypad (with directional keys that are jumping to clickable objects and is not turned in to some anoying 4 way pointer control), outer aout 1" AMOLED notification/clock screen (perhaps with touch, but then only supporting some features like toggle wifi sharing, rejectng calls, status switching, music playback controls and scrolling thru and dissing the notifications in the notification center but with no full notification mode, you really should use inne screen for such), a camera at the level of the other high end devices with camera light, a good chipset (keep in mind the lower resolution so it doesnt have to be the same as in other high end models to give the same level of performance), good battery capacity (in relation to it's less power hungry chipset and smaller screen), decent built in memory (at least 16GB + microSD card slot, or 32GB and up and it could skip on the card slot) and all the connectivity (LTE, USB with MHL and OTG support, BT4.0 and so on) and the rest you could expect and some accessories as well and it should come in some color variations (white, black, brown, red and perhaps silver to flirt with flip phones of tha past).

And no. It's what you assumed. Even if that had been the case it still does not make it an ill manored or pointless question. Nor is that the meaning of lousy. And it was a lousy and negating reply.

i personally dont like samsung, but if they will put a huge battery to this clamshell, maybe i will reconsider and try their product.

Are you purposely doing this now? Their comment"S" were obviously bashing. And that comment followed right after they said "clamshell is so old fashioned! somemore this spec is so low. who will buy?" and someone replied saying they would. That's when they said what they did. Their intent was quite obvious and I'm pretty sure even you can see that weather you admit it or not. Not to mention how they go around many Samsung and Sony pages constantly doing the same thing. It's like a broken record.

And again It was not harsh, but it was not called for and unrelated. It was a cop out instead of answering a simple question. One you probably ASSUMED that was ill manord. When I asked that question I simply meant what I said. I never said you started it. I never said it in a mean way. I never meant anything more purely than what I asked. But all you could do was tell me that I need to read more before making a reply. Negating and ignoring my question and assuming I had not read other comments solely based off your assumptions of not liking my comments.

No that is not bashing. Where do you get that it is? They came in and bashed pointlessly and randomly like they do in almost every page. In response to their bash I said that every jealous hater comes in and bashes while calling everyone with remote interest a naive sheep. It was a direct reply explaining the situation of them and other haters.
You have a very bad problem with reading comprehension and I think that has a lot to do with this whole fiasco. Take more time to read and understand comments before constantly and repeatedly making such radical bashing and confused comments off assumptions
