Samsung exec: the Galaxy S25 series will have top-of-the-line cameras, displays and chipsets

01 August 2024
The VP of Samsung MX said so on the recent earnings call, but didn't clarify whether this is for the whole S25 series or just the Ultra.

ya right! don't trust any of samsung executives words coz when launch US KOREA CHINA all snapdragon then rest of the world have to be stuck with pathetic exynos except for ultra. this discriminatory action is what set apple apart from the rest of the world. am not an apple but I do agree with apple on this though "everybody get the same" but samsung? that's what I hate about samsung

I don't care much about camera upgrades unless those include a bigger sensor. What I do want to see is an 8 or even 10 bit panel aswell as support for all bluetooth Codecs. Less restrictions would be by far the best upgrade, people in the Samsung ecosystem will buy their stuff anyways

            What a shocker! 😱

But Scandinavia will still be cursed with exynos, unless you only buy ultra.

                Shocking.

But, it'll get cheaper to make as time moves on, so I don't see a problem here. Plus, an "Ultra" phone like Samsung's S25 Ultra should be using such tech anyway, since Samsung is skimping out on camera tech so much compared to other brands. Samsung just makes ridiculously high margins out of unimpressive specs because they don't really need to compete due to the uncompetitive Western market. This is is also why they're doing so badly in the Chinese market and only decently in India, Africa and Indonesia.

It indeed is stronger than LYT900 ( aka 22nm Imx989). While using much less space.
                      But it costs 2x more.

I doubt that brands like vivo, xiaomi, honor, huawei, Motorola and Samsung will be willing to pay for it any soon.

Devices with this tech are : sony 1vi / 1v/5v, Apple 15/15+, Nio Phone 2, Oppo N3 ( OnePlus Open).

I have a Note 10plus for 4 years now and planning to upgrade soon and the price of Samsung phone flagships for the past four years has been a major turn off for me. Its like paying for an IPhone. I always buy flagships a year after it comes out so I can buy it cheaper so no matter how good the s25 Ultra is I will buy the s24 Ultra by the end of the year

theamateurgeekisback, 01 Aug 2024Ironically, I believe even Apple tries harder than Samsung ... moreI think Samusng wants to follow the same philosophy as Apple, a serious mistake Samsung doesn't even have its own operating system, it has thousands of competitors!! They should go back to being the company they were a few years ago.
