02 August 2024
The Galaxy Watch Ultra and the Galaxy Buds3 are eerily similar to Apple's products.

Personally, the Galaxy buds pro 3 are the most comfortable buds I've ever worn they do look a little like airpods but not direct copy. As far as the watch 7 Ultra, that design is an updated version that Samsung did years ago with the Galaxy sport, but the Orange is a copy of Apple.

Let's just agree to disagree and leave it here. I can't make you budge nor can you make me budge, it's just our core opinions. It'd be a waste of time to continue arguing.

That means you understand my point so you made an argument. However, you asked me what my point was. To be honest, it seemed like you were trolling and not arguing in good faith. I understand your figure of speech. My point is that it's only you opinion, and it's irrelevant because it's not necessarily apply to other people. If you think that it's shameful, so what? Other executives may not think that, and you cannot do anything about that. You seem to think that your opinion is a universal truth. It's not. The world doesn't revolve around you.

Anonymous, 04 Aug 2024My point is that high-level executives of conglomerates sho... moreWhat? I argued against your point and I said the exact opposite in my original comment. The reason the executive has stepped in is BECAUSE those teams didn't do their jobs properly. What do you not understand about that? I explained why as well. You seem to be the one who misses each point and just adamantly believes the thing you made up in your head. I was confused by your points originally since I thought you were making new points but you weren't.

As I said, Samsung isn't well respected but just below respected brands. That does not make them mediocre. Well now they are but it didn't use to be this way. A mediocre brand is LG's mobile division.

My point about dissolving is that it would've been too shameful to see that as a CEO. How do you not get that? It was an analogy.

jiyen235, 04 Aug 2024what even is your point then? First you talk about Samsung ... moreMy point is that high-level executives of conglomerates should focus on financial and the big picture and let the management/executives of subsidiary companies/divisions handle the details such as reviewing and approving product design of their respective companies/divisions. I don't understand why you don't understand this clear and simple point. Also, it's you who are being confused. I didn't say that people hated Samsung. I said that people didn't view Samsung as a high-end brand and that many people viewed Samsung as a somewhat mediocre or even inferior brand. It's similar to what you said that you slot it right below being respected. I told you that what others do is their business because you said that you would have dissolved your business. Maybe you would have, but it has nothing to do with Samsung because you don't own Samsung.

Just imagine if samsung engineeres copied Apple to finally get TM Roh fired 🤣

Anonymous, 04 Aug 2024Yes, all LCD TVs are subpar compared to OLED TVs. They are ... morewhat even is your point then? First you talk about Samsung not being viewed well and I gave you some reasons and I could give you more reasons, and it could just be your place but Samsung is both liked and hated but all because of their own quirks. I've been in the tech scene for a decade or so now just researching stuff as a hobbyist and they've never been truly hated. Something's reputation becomes mid when it isn't loved nor hated, Samsung is both loved and hated so I'd slot them right below being respected.

I don't understand what your point is, you're just rambling about different companies copying now and that what others do is none of one's concern but I was talking about SAMSUNG and their OWN executives. You say they should focus on finances only but God forbid they focus on something else they're doing a wrong job? Did you know design is part of a product? It's basic business, so a businessman would definitely like their design to be unique so that there's a Unique Selling Point that can further drive sales.

I don't mean to be rude or anything it's just that you're super confusing and I tried my best to be level headed and explain stuff I THINK you might be saying. Form a coherent point man.

you have to suffer, 04 Aug 2024so in your logic, using rectangle shape for smartwatches = ... moreNo you don't get his point buddy. He's saying it's only copying when the Chinese makers do it and if it's Samsung they're just integrating it with their overall design (false cus they're going for a flat/sharp aesthetic) and also integrating with their software icons. Why? Because he said so! Don't you know Samsung numbah 1?

jiyen235, 04 Aug 2024Samsung TVs haven't been subpar for a very long time. ... moreYes, all LCD TVs are subpar compared to OLED TVs. They are in different leagues in terms of image quality. I didn't say that Samsung is a bad company. I simply stated a fact that people don't think highly of Samsung as a brand. Sony is a much more well-received brand compared to Samsung. Apple only has a few products, so they are apples and oranges; however, people think highly of Apple as a brand. Sony and Apple aren't afraid to copy, by the way. The PlayStation Move is an imitation of Nintendo's Wii Remote, and the PlayStation Portal is essentially an improved Wii U GamePad. Anyway, most executives are just employees. If you own a business, you can do anything with it; you can even destroy it. How other people run their businesses is their business, though.

Anonymous, 03 Aug 2024It is actually a greate decision made by Samsung mobile div... moreso in your logic, using rectangle shape for smartwatches = copying apple?? how delusional. just tell me to show off your pure hatred against chinese brands without telling me to.

Kpoop, 03 Aug 2024I watched a video the other day where a Samsung repair tech... moreno doubt the samsung tv sales would go plummet haha

the top boss may be angry as stated in media, but in reality. they are happy with it. even one ui 7 is eerily similar to ios. the battery indicator has gone horizontal, the icons though. although the shapes may not look the same but the color scheme is similar.

Samsung has been copying for years from removing the 3.5mm jack, sd card slot, charging brick as well as mimicking the iPhone in design language. It reminds me of a time about 10 years ago when a top executive of Hyundai jealously asked why they were not able to charge a premium for their vehicles whereas VW was able. Hyundai is not VW and Samsung is not Apple. Samsung needs to go back to their roots, which was features. People didn't care if half of them didn't work well or if Samsung experimented with new phone series. They chose the phone because nobody else had those features. Dex, Routines, SBeam, Multi Window, a mega phone screen. Remember when the tagline was The Next Big Thing is Here? They confidently sold the features. But when they made the S24, they bragged that The Next Big Thing is you. What does that even mean? Marketing ran out of ideas to sell the phone because the team didn't invent anything new, so they pretended it enabled people to be artsy and super creative. Way to miss it.

Give us new designs. Break the 7'' barrier on phones. Try new form factors. Give us Dex 2.0 with better desktop support and physical hardware. Experiment with AI models, including self-contained models built into the phone. Start bringing back the focus on features and Samsung will take off again.
