                They could've updated the cores to at least 2x A78 at least so it will be a big leap in performance. Still the same but with 200MP cam support lol. Might as well just call it G99+

                Unisoc beats them on this category. The T820 smokes the G99. But, Unisoc no longer releases newer higher chips though..

                    I remember seeing the Dimensity line launch and thinking Mediatek was finally gonna start making good chips.

                    Fast forward 4 years and they've just rebranded another ancient god damn Helio chip.

                      Cortex a76 and a55 launched like 5 or 6 years ago, that's a problem.
                      I think 5g will not be in this and this is also a problem.

                      5g devices with decent specs can be found within $125 to $150 easily theses days.
                      So, buying this makes more sense.

                          They could have put like a G57 mc 4 so that they can call it a true upgrade but damn this chip is like being recycled again what's next a helio G101 to helio G200 with like 600mp camera support and some AI fetures

                            Fun fact: The Helio G90/G90T that were launched on 2019 have better GPU (Mali G76 MC4) than the trash, overrated and overused Mali G57 MC2 that is used on most budget or low midrange chips of Mediatek including this "brand new" Helio G100

It's around same as the SD695 with performance while dont have that 5G while 695 is like bottom end of the middle class that should actually be the budget range when the performance is like 250k to 400k in Antutu v10 with these budget class.
