BigDisplay, 09 Aug 20247500 mah would be a dream, no doubt i woukd buy a flagship ... moreMe too! 7,500mAh battery is quite an upgrade for sure! The common 5,000mAh battery isn't enough for me as it didn't last longer for almost half a day & i usually charge my smartphone 3-5 times a day. If the 7,500mAh battery becomes a standard for all smartphone batteries in the next few years to come then it will change our charging routines to 2-3 times a day & smartphone usage, without charging again, will last for almost 2 days. Note that my AMOLED smartphone is always on 120hz refresh rate but is on Dark mode & set only on 50% brightness display so maybe the higher refresh rate is what really drains the battery fast. I'm also a hardcore gamer, playing a lot of heavy games that you can download on both Android Play Store & iOS App store. And i always expected this because everything in technology is always going forward & positive in both upgrades & new innovations alike.

imagine Nothing phone 2(a) plus with 7500mAh battery and without the gimmicky glyph transparent design 🤤

Latvis, 08 Aug 2024For me nothing less than 7000mAh now (since I use M51). So,... moreI think i will be okay with a 5000 mAh battery, although i use a 6000 mAh battery phone samsung galaxy f41 now.

        jiyen235, 08 Aug 2024Interesting! Larger battery = slower charging. Interesting ... moreS24U takes ~1hr to fully charge

The 7,500mAh battery will take 63 minutes to fully charge

        So it's roughly the same

          this is good news

Anonymous, 09 Aug 2024You will buy a new phone every three years anyway. Ten year... morePhone makers already take out last year's models from their shops so it no longer makes sense to be pro repair when they purposely make it hard to obtain their spare parts. Selling old phone every 3years or more then buying a new one makes sense now.

Xiaomi needs 7500mAh to power their buggy inefficient MiUI/HyoerOS

Hardware Hypervisor, 09 Aug 2024"Developing" a 7,500 mAh battery is not quite acc... moreSeems like you missed out BIG TIME on the battery technology that is coming

This isn't just make bigger this is newer chemistry with the implications of saving weight and size.. keeping the same or similar footprint as traditional 5000mah or even 6000mah

But your not alone with every breakthrough there is this struggle to re-learn what's possible

I see people struggling with their learnt behaviour about battery capacity and weight saying things like 300g.. but they'll come to learn in due time when this silicon carbon technology reaches 4th 5th probably 6th generation

People are only in tune with soc upgrades year and year and battery never really improved but that time is changing and people aren't ready for it lol

Hardware Hypervisor, 09 Aug 2024"Developing" a 7,500 mAh battery is not quite acc... moreThe developing part is where they make the 7,500 mah battery smaller and thinner and share the same footprint as a current 5,000 mah battery. In other words, the density increases but not the size. It's a lot harder to do than you think.

BigDisplay, 09 Aug 20247500 mah would be a dream, no doubt i woukd buy a flagship ... moreLess recharging and more battery life is better for the longevity. Smaller batteries charges more and wears out quicker.

"Developing" a 7,500 mAh battery is not quite accurate.
They just order bigger batteries and make the phones thicker.
There's no "developing" part involved in this.

This is exactly what I think.

7500 mah would be a dream, no doubt i woukd buy a flagship with this huge battery, no matter what (nearly).
