Not available in my country.

Henchen, 11 Aug 2024No. Just wait 3 or 4 month they will be vivo v50. Exactly what they want you to think. So just go with your instinct.

No. Just wait 3 or 4 month they will be vivo v50.

it could be my next phone if the v40 pro has 1TB variant.

the pro might be worth it to those who are ok with curved screens and have no need for a 3.5mm. for me these are what make it a none of the above. the vanilla is only good for the soc the rest is meh for the price and it's major flaw being the curved screen.

Voted for better midrangers out there and i am definitely right.
              Poco F6 pro for example.
Several Oneplus phones etc. Many last year flagships.
              *Tons of countless of devices.

                I prefer flagships

                  No SD card
                  No 3.5 jack
                  Not for me.

I think the Vivo V40 Pro is a very good option for the money! Also, they're really good with keeping up security patches and updates. I have the IQOO 12 and it's totally up to date right now. I know it's only a year old but the updates have been regular.

The V40 might be a good buy since it now incorporates Zeiss optics, which are absent in the V30. It also has a bigger battery, so there's a better value.

As for the V40 Pro, it's a V30 Pro with a flagship-grade Dimensity SoC. It'd be great if it had a USB3 with wired video output support like the X90 Pro or X100 Pro, but it didn't. That's a real shame since Dimensity 9200 can still pull serious firepower for everyday computing.

i love vivo brand ever since i use v21 4g, but i skipped later releases because of not that much improvement and mono speaker in 2024???? ffs. but v40 vanilla seems interesting, in indonesia i can buy discounted vivo phones on tiktok shop

The V40 Pro isn't bad, nice performance and cameras, but the base model is overpriced imo, no telephoto with considerably weaker SoC and slower storage

Vivo is a pesky company. They used UFS 3.1 in the V40 pro, so that they could separate it from the x90 series. Shame.

These phones are super tempting but the way they come out with a new one like in 6 months, I just wonder why I shouldn't just keep waiting for the next one lol
