telestarcomgsm, 10 Aug 2024Do tmobile customers actually buy the reevl? are they that ... moreThere are actually a lot of people that love that line of phone. They also have tablets and people love their tablet as well It is cheaper than a lot of your Samsung and probably way better from my experience with customers. I’ve switched a lot of people over from Samsung to the revvl series. I mean, technically there’s no free phone. The company gives you a coupon for the amount of the phone for coming to that carrier. There is no such thing as a free phone without the coupon… And in the prepaid world A series Samsung versus revvls I’d choose revvl all day!

I bought one not long after they came out and hate it. First, the eSIM got corrupted after the first major update to the phone forcing me to use a physical one. Second, the camera app stops working randomly and the only way to fix it is to reboot the phone. The third and by far, most serious issue, is with the fingerprint sensor; there's times where the phone will randomly unlock with either the wrong finger or the palm of my hand.

As a Revvl 7 Pro owner I've only had one issue that I am concerned about. I requested a replacement phone and tested it before switching over to it, good thing since it also had the same issue, so I rejected it and sent it back.
The issue I am concerned about and any owners should verify is the wireless charging capability of the phone. I tested two phones with several different wireless chargers and neither phone would shut off the wireless charger when the phone was fully charged. This means that the wireless chargers will overcharge the battery and heat up the phone. This will at the least shorten the life of the battery (and phone) or worst case be a fire hazard. I don't use the wireless charger at night any more because of this reason.
I did not notice any issues with the wired charging but I did not fully test it.

Do tmobile customers actually buy the reevl? are they that much cheaper than the lowest end Samsung, Nokia or Motorola that TMobile would have?

Ra-Iri, 08 Aug 2024That is very, very sketchy. It's T-Mobile, they rhyme with sketchy. They couldn't wait to rip the uncarrier branding off because they were really never about that life.

This vague action is quite irritating and concerning.

that phone look like a OnePlus 10 from wish.com

not surprising given that T mobile installs random, unecessary games and apps by itself. so far, the software inside the T mobile revvl phones feels half-baked, unstable and sluggish on any hardware, so bad that motorola's system software puts the 2nd place.

Friend of mine works at Tmobile and the head office told them to take back any device with call issues from the customers, give them the regular Revvl 7 + a coupon for accessories.

These devices are so trash they should not exist, even a 70 euro Moto G04 is miles better Android experience wise.

Wow I hope this isn't another Samsung battery combustion issue.

Wingtech manufactures these phones for T-Mobile.

"In 2020, Samsung, Oppo and Xiaomi ordered nearly 81 million, 105 million and 115 million units from several ODMs". ODM is original design manufacturer - a role Wingtech has with these companies, making phones for each OEM according to their specs.
