Looks like Samsung realized they will lose market share of they don't stop selling crappy phones with horrible chipsets.

That's a bit stretching too much since even the A25 uses Exynos 1280.

I won't be surprised if Samsung A16 5G got Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 AE/LV or Even Unisoc T760 5G.

Hamburger is right. This is a weaker and different SOC, not the mid range Exynos 1380. At best the A16 might get the Exynos 1280 or 1330 (the latter we have already seen on the A14 Indian version and M14). The Exynos 1380 makes more sense on the A26, which would make its journey be like: A54 to A35, A35 to A26.

The A1x series getting the Exynos 1380 would be quiet the major leap in performance for that phone.

This is obviously not the E1380, since its Geekbench 6 scores are way higher in other phones. And it's evident in all the relevant GSMArena reviews... which could be easily read by the person who wrote this article (or anyone else who started this rumor).

Hamburgur., 09 Aug 2024Nope, it's the same chipset 6300, not the exynos 1380.... moreYou're right. It's 2× 2.4Ghz - 6080 or 6300.

It's unlikely to be the Exynos 1380, the Exynos 1380 has 4x 2.4GHz cores while the one popped on Geekbench only has 2, but the score is a little too high to be the Dimensity 6300. My guest is... they will be reusing the Exynos 1280 once again (as it also has 2x 2.4GHz cores, 6x 2.0GHz cores, and the Geekbench score seems suitable).
