Thats neat. Not sure I want to abuse a battery like that. Im very happy with 80W charging I have now, even the 50W speed i get from Wireless charging is pleny fast. Once you get to the 50-65W range you can top up fast enough for me. 100-120W I think is the max speed I would want to go.

How to destroy your battery and burn your house down in 3... 2... 1...

We are on the horizon of 6000mah and even 7500 mah batteries

300w is now the perfect time to compliment this

Akashi Seijuro, 09 Aug 2024Now only if Redmi and Realme can make EV chargers that can ... morefirst they need to start making them for pc's and sell them along with a type c port that supports it, no need for it to support thunderbolt, dp 4k120 or other fancy crap, just fast charging this way laptop companies can finally ditch their crapy, heavy and huge chargers...

DeepIn2U, 09 Aug 2024Lol. I didn't see him plug in a charger to the wal... moreThe Xiaomi 300W demo from last year also seems a bit too good to be true. 5 minutes for a full charge with 300W, when a production 240W phone takes just under 10 minutes. That sounds like a big breaktheough. Even if they decided 300W is excesive and not worth releasing, it would still mean you could easily charge a 100W phone in 15 minutes. Meanwhile in actuality charging times aren't improving. It probably wasn't fake, but I think Xiaomi knew this wasn't anywhere near production ready. (And now I'm just remembering it was actually Xiaomi who demo'd the "air charging".

Now only if Redmi and Realme can make EV chargers that can charge electric vehicles as fast as how quick the phone charged with 300W charger is

Wanted to joke about this needing a power supply the size of one for a small PC, but what is shown in the video is actually somewhat impressive. I‘m still on the fence whether it’s actually useful, or if efficiency gains mean that even if a phone only charges slower to only 20% it will last enough for the rest of the day at some point, but it’s interesting to have some options with such very fast charging. Of course it’s entirely possible that this will only be a fad in the next 3-4 years and then they go back to lower specifications and use the improvements in battery technology for higher capacity batteries instead of higher wattage charging, like when 8K TVs came out and then pretty much died out again because they went with brighter 4K displays instead, as 8K would be much dimmer than the same LEDs with the same power used with 4K.

                Lol.

I didn't see him plug in a charger to the wall and then the phone did you?!

That soon to demo after yesterday's announcement?

Anyone remember if it was RealMe or another co many touting Wireless charging base station and a phone across a room that just got ghosted and never heard about again for almost 2yrs ago now?!
