Likely because of all the design changes we have seen every few months with video page, channel page, comment section, gimmicky animations of like and subscribe buttons etc.

                I always turn off auto play next video, as the next recommended video is usually crap

                        So I don't get why YT does what it does. Video just comes to a point were it stutters, blocks then crashes the app

                            Autoplay off type option can be found there.

                            Even you don't have your account signed in, still you can turn it on or off.

                              Does anyone know a way of stopping autoplay on the browser version of yt? The option just isn't there.
                              On mobile it's all good due to nodded apks, bur desktop gets annoying with autoplay

                                  I have a question about youtube

                                  I don't know why, but it keeps crashing on my phone, real bad and often too, 5 min in a video and boom, crash

                                  I cleared cache, restarted phone, deleted and installed, checked wifi but I don't have a clue on why it's doing it.

                                  It's been happening for the past 5+ years. Yes. I'm not joking.
                                  Worked well before I signed into my acc, and it ususally starts crashing afterwards.

                                  Any clues?

                                      there have been sleep timer in YouTube premium for around 6 month+ at least here in Australia
