Oneplus 13 should get a 165hz or at least 144hz screen, display is best but it should not nerf the Sd 8 gen 4 for the so called 'efficiency'. I expect it to be the best phone which will be coming soon in the market. don't make me wrong oneplus 🙄

They're using the 8 Gen 4 in the ultra because of the cost. If you want to get the expensive Chipset, they want to make sure that you choose to get it.
                  In fact, I'm sure that Oppo knows that the find X8 Ultra won't sell as much as the Find X8, and the Pro Model.
                  It's marketing. At this point, it'd be better for manufacturers to divide their Chipsets into 3 segments.

                      If these screen protectors hold up fine with time then I can't think of a real problem with these micro curved screens then.

                      Thanks for bringing this up to my attention! I had assumed they were no different from the regular curved ones.

I'm not saying I CAN afford it myself, yet, though I'm not complaining about it. Even I was interested in that product I'd just use Mt current cash inflow wisely and invest so that mid cycle I'd take advantage of price drops OR be ready for the X9 series.

                          Personally I'm on team Samsung, and myself being Sam-Sun-(of a)-G I'm eyeballing the S24 Ultra, Z Fold 6 or upcoming S25 (it it ships with a top end Qualcomm SoC ONLY! I require the N.American network suport all those 3 support here in Canada

                            OnePlus 13 is looking to be my next phone, hopefully it's same as OnePlus 12 buy CN version cheaper that can be flashed to oxygen, Xiaomi mi 11 3 years old it's gonna be very noticeable change especially the battery life

                                How does it taste?! Lol

                                That said I think the leak is wrong regarding the OnePkus 13 screen size. It's not the Pro nor an Ultra why would it share an 6.8" top end screen with an Uktra phone? Doesn't make much sense? Most like it'll get the same screen as the X8 Pro not the Ultra.

                                I highly doubt Oppo will let its sister company, OnePlus (that it fully owns & manufacturers device for share that kind of glory - unless BOE's costs are high and it fits in with economies of scale. I mean the fans aren't asking for such a screen, are they?

                                I don't subscribe either to the rumors that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is going to be power hungry; not entirely across the SoC. Shoukd the GPU be heavily used to its full performance then yes that'll such power like an Elephant with 2 Camel humps!

                                Let's see what warranty and customer support that Oppo offers globally with the X8/X8 Pro & X8 Ultra - especially as the latter will be the Camera king. Unless IQOO X200 has anything to say about it;)

                                    Flat screen on the X8 is awesome to see, I hope to see more and more flat displays on chinese flagships. I'm hoping it'll be a good phone at a good price.

                                    Micro curved displays are nicer aesthetically than regular curved displays, but the problem of getting a good tempered glass screen protector is still the same so...

                                      1440p on a phone is overkill imo. The resolution on the X8 is totally enough (~450ppi). Beyond that, really seems like a waste of processing power and money, that could have been spent on a brighter display or other spec improvements or a reduced price.
