These colors of the skin make us different from others and keep us segregated. Being blind and bottom rock poor makes us all equal and happy, you reckon.

It's about time. We've all known Google was a monopoly for years, but we've either ignored that fact or have had our words fall on deaf ears.

Split them? No worries as long as they continue to work. Just don't ruin everything.

lewein, 16 Aug 2024wow, racism is rampant hereWhat racism? We Indians all belong to the same race, we're all Asian.
Once again, I'm not saying stereotype is a good thing, nor am I doing it. I'm just saying people do it.

Good news for all humanity! All American big tech companies should face the same fate. They've become too powerful and equally too evil.

Judge Amit Mehta... hmm... This judge is of Indian origin, more specifically a Gujarati, often stereotyped to be business minded people, but again, Mahatma Gandhi the world leader was also a Gujarati Indian.
I hope Google just gets destroyed, and Android is handed over to a party more privacy conscious of citizens around the world, many of whom are not even citizens of USA and will never visit USA or least concerned with it...

Anonymous, 15 Aug 2024Makes no sense at all. Android is technically "free&qu... moreUnfortunately, some popular apps in the Playstore require GMS to function because developers use GMS as a backend and for notifications. GMS is not available in AOSP and most AOSP rom developers do not want to include GMS in their roms because it is spyware. So it is difficult for phone vendors to sell Google/GMS free phones because some of the apps they use won't work. I hope the US Courts will address this and force Google to put in the necessary backend into AOSP so all apps work on AOSP roms but without the Google spyware.

And changing your OS on an Android phone is farrrrrrrr harder than changing your OS on a laptop.

Facebook and Amazon also.
And Micro$oft need a second look.
Since their 2001 lawsuit did not spook them enough, and their 365 is becoming more or less like Adobe.

THANK GOD, 15 Aug 2024It's about time Android will be free from the claws of... moreNot just ads, it's the persistent hooks and lack of being what AndroidOS is all about "choice".
Absolutely NON of Google's AI (be that Assistant or Gemini) allows user choice into the apps THEY want just their own!
That's what is at stake here!
Don't believe me install Gemini and look at all it's features - NONE allow your choice of apps outside of Google's own apps and swrvices! And they're doubling down pushing it into the OS!
They very definition of Monopoly- as Android IS THE top OS devices sold in any country

So yes, you can actually sell computers with Linux preinstalled.
And Google has activelly fought against alternative Android implementations outside of their cointrol, like lineage OS for example.
So, maybe, do some research next time?

2. They should at least divest from Chrome. Having browser and ad monopolies at the same time is door to predatory and anti-consumer practices.
3. Same with Android.
Android and Chrome can survive on their own. And Google can keep its ad business if that's what they live on.
