OS updates on Android aren... moreyes they are for security purposes, if you're using your phone for banking or work, you can't rely on an android 7 as there are always vaulnerabilities in the older versions. Android updates are not necessary if you use it for entertainment only, which is fine for a kid.

The Fortnight Store is _not_ EGS. It's not even a "store", you cannot buy anything in it. It's a launcher/installer for a few Epic mobile games.
Epic just cannot release an EGS alternative for Android for some reasons. Sigh.
But then only Steam has it. Ubisoft and EA cannot be bothered either.

Just proves the fact many iPhones/ iPads cannot use it because Apple does not want. Not because devs have decided to end support for older iOS versions.
Android 7 is from 2016 and can have it, while the 2022 iOS 16 cannot.
Ridiculous. I will never buy any product from Apple again.
