Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra might be called S26 Note, S26+ could be S26 Pro

What makes the bigger S26 model, a "Pro" over the regular S26? It's just a bigger screen. It also has a UWB (which the regular ought to have too), but nobody knows about that. So it's just the screen. The "Plus" moniker made more sense.
What they may do though is move the A series into the S series. And have the same layout as Apple, and now Google. S26, S26 Pro, S26 Pro Plus, S26 Ultra.
I am not sure they will go with the Note name simply because the "Ultra" is the trend now.
Apple is yet again leading, even in the model structure. Google already copied it. Next Samsung will be copying it.

people barely got used to this naming scheme and they think of ditching it? also, the "ultra" is far too precious of a name for them to abandon.

They can call their ultimate phone the Ultra. The Pro should be given to the Plus unless they have an upgrade specifically making it a Pro instead of just a bigger S26. Samsung is gonna be doing the Chinese with all these names and it won't look good on their image.

I just want the best screen with the best cameras, minus the s.pen, which I never use.

Unless they plan on making Fold Note with integrated pencil though I don't know why they wouldn't just give it to regular Fold by default since it would make the most sense but then again the display is so fragile using pencil on it is literally dangerous. The tip of my S23 Ultra pencil is super sharp.
I don't know why there is a need to make naming more confusing. S, S+, S Ultra and Fold make sense. It would make sense renaming Ultra to Note, but then it would be just Note and not Ultra which would then make it the same as Redmi Note and I can see how that could confuse the buyers between 1500€ phone and 150€ one...

For the Pro, to justify its name, it should have the same camera system as tre Ultra/Note. Otherwise, it's just an emply label.

Given TM Roh's reaction to the Buds 3's "blade" stems, it would be weird to change their mobile lineup's names to become (once again) more like apple.

In my opinion, the real note is now the fold series. The S series with S Pen should be called Sxx Post-It (Samsung X Post-It LOL)

They only think about changing the name but they do not focus on giving specs upgrades such as upgrading the battery Samsung is giving 5000 mah from the s21 ultra or they do not show innovation such as a built-in stylus in Galaxy Fold.
