Dr. Watson, 24 Sep 2024Oh hey, I was correct. Nice.Bro remembered his comment 😎

Dr. Watson, 20 Aug 2024I imagine the phone that Xiaomi will announce with the 7sG3... moreOh hey, I was correct. Nice.

deRykcihC, 06 Sep 2024yes but assuming it won't be priced too much from 7gen... moreIt's not about price but use case, we won't have cheap Arm V9 for a while, it's Arm fault not soc maker fault, you saw how expensive Dimensity 7200 was, this one will also be expensive, for cheaper device cortex A78 will be used.

Reports are saying V9 cores like A710/715/720 cost twice compare to A78.

Hemedans, 20 Aug 2024This don't compete with 7+ series, if you are Enthuasi... moreyes but assuming it won't be priced too much from 7gen3 which was already close to 7+gen3, plus 7g3 is already quite good.

I'm guessing this will match the Exynos 1480 used on the Galaxy A55?

Looking at Qualcomm's claims, I expect the theoretical CPU performance to match the SD888, while the GPU performance will be somewhere between the SD845 and SD855.

My AnTuTu benchmark score prediction would probably be somewhere between 690K and 730K, that's a good 15-20% overall performance increase.

                      Cortex A78 or A715?

The Android Freak, 21 Aug 2024Lol. Xiaomi has lost the edge in such scenarios as they foc... moreI dont want 6Ah battery, why would you want them to do that

The Android Freak, 21 Aug 2024Phones with this should not cross 300USD with 256GB UFS 3.1... moreAll depends on all other specs like battery, charging speeds, camera front and back type of display and protection, build materials etc.

Manolo G, 21 Aug 2024I'll stick with TensorThis chip will outperform Tensor

The Gen 2 was already about equal to the Tensor G3

And we know G4 is not substantially faster than G3.

Hmmm... this is weird. 6s Gen 3 is a rebranded 695, while 8s Gen 3 is a watered-down 8 Gen 3 with 8 Gen 2 core configuration. Meanwhile, the 7s Gen 3 is an upgraded (read: better) version of the 7 Gen 3 with newer A720 and A520 CPUs. Qualcomm really makes things super confusing.

This new nomenclature is a bit absurd. They should just stick with 4,6,7,8gen. When clearly 4s=4gen2, 6s=6gen1.

Anonymous, 21 Aug 2024Nah SD 7s Gen won't even reach SD 865 let alone 870Remember what I said:
                                    - 7s Gen 3 - To replace SD 870
                                    - 6 Gen 3 (Rumoured) - To replace SD 855/860

"To Replace" is an attempt and would likely succeded
