Tech Check , 20 Aug 2024If any new CPU will realise, Xiaomi will be first to use itLol. Xiaomi has lost the edge in such scenarios as they focus solely on flagships nowadays. Nothing innovative in Redmi Note series(Dimensity processors) and Nothing innovative in Poco F series as well. Yes performance wise on point Poco F series. But camera wise it's pretty lagging. Give us 300-350USD good bang for buck. Use OV50H and snapdragon 7+ gen 4, 6000 battery with 67Watt charging for 350USD for 256GB Poco F7 and you have winner globally.

2.8ghz won't help if it lack real 2 cores. There is a reason why D7200 has sd 870 level gpu but many Games it doesn't support higher fps, it's limited to 30-60fps instead of 90 or 120fps.

                          Guys! Help me.
                          Little off topic.
I have a realme gt master with sd 778g. I want to change phone in the upcoming months. What cpu (and phone) would be a signicifant step up for me? I dont want a flagship phone. Just a good mindranger.

So in terms of CPU, it is similar to 7+ Gen 3 with the X4 performance core replaced by an A720 core, and slightly lower clocks across the board.

And yet we're still at those speeds today is VERY disappointing. I don't care if it's "enough", we're not really getting enough for what we're paying for a new name that makes it seem like it's way faster.

I am curious to know whether it's Samsung or TSMC that is fabricating this chip. I couldn't find info from the source page, but my guess would be Samsung.

I've heard that TSMC's producing it instead of Samsung. This is good news as Samsung-made SD chips like the 888, 8 Gen 1, and the 7S Gen 2 all have notoriously bad efficiency and thermals, much like their own Exynos chips.

Really looking forward to the Redmi Note 14 Pro soon, I think it's finally time to retire my Poco X3 Pro before it dies.
