Overpriced and underspeced phones with senseless advertising

Wasting resources on ads rather than improving the product 😕😞 .
Look at Nothing, just barely new in the market and it has footprints all over the world.

Mahmood Albraim, 22 Aug 2024Oppo vibes.. except that they've been profitable for many years, unlike them...

Looks like a great move to make the brand become familiar to more people.

spending money on nonsense instead of getting a decent phone...

atichko, 22 Aug 2024I don't think that HMD has not purpose in life. It... moreAll thanks to the conservative set of chairpersons, they prioritized the user experience, overall quality, sustainability and bill of materials over on-paper specifications and marketing. While I support that idea, they could've at least used original designs with their MRSP. But I can't really complain, as Nokia phones are cheaper in our region compared to Chinese brands (including Samsung).

HMD dumping money into everything but their phones apparently

I don't think that HMD has not purpose in life. It's to early to say that. If you would take into account the whole Nokia endeavour then yes, I would agree. But now HMD is on it's own and must be considered as a new brand that is finding it's way in the market. Although I'm a big fan of the Lumia designs I do know that HMD will have to find an own identity once the fuzz around Lumia designs fades away. I'm just hoping that HMD is not going to do the same error by only creating low end phones with outdated hardware, even if the construction is like a brick.
