In my opinion, I don't quite understand Samsung's pointless pursuit of the thinnest mobile phone. After all, this is an unnecessary and technically pointless step that makes it impossible to put better cameras and better batteries in mobile phones. And very thin mobiles are more fragile than slightly thicker ones. Instead of the pointless pursuit of the thinnest mobile phone, Samsung should strive to improve weak cameras and batteries, which is Samsung's weakness. Samsung has incompetent designers who have no idea what customers need. For these reasons, I also refused to buy the Honor Magic V3, which also jumped into a senseless race for the thinnest mobile instead of looking for higher quality. For example, great thing done VIVO by his Top mobile phone VIVO X FOLD3 PRO, which understood where the reasonable limit of thickness is vs the quality of the camera and battery.

Saw the Pixel Fold today at the Google store on 9th avenue. Obviously it is slimmer than the Z6. However, the difference doesn't stand out that much side by side and I don't think it will if this phone is 10.1mm. If you use a case, then I think it will be more noticeable.

Sammy starts to panic now that Honour Magic v3 shipping globally,its superior in every way except maybe software. Sammy totally missed the boat, too little too late like the Hare and the Tortoise race, While they are sitting on their laurels for last 3 years every other manufacturer have beaten them to the post.
Ironically ZF6slim needs to remove Stylus support to be thinner yet Honor Magic V3 supports Stylus and still thinner, wider cover screen, better cameras, bigger battery and tougher.
RIP ZF6 slim, another dud Fold6 variant, they should just replace Mr Roh, its a disgrace he let the Fold series drop from top to the last position in sales.

We can't get a $250 USD 5 inch display, 5g phone but we can get slim versions of foldables for some reason. Don't tell me they don't sell because no one is trying.

ShawnH, 23 Aug 2024Not every OEM, Oneplus uses a Sony "stacked" sens... morehow is the software optimization of Oneplus Open for the folding display aspect ratio? split screen apps or multi-tasting. it was said the phone was not doing so well at first launch. it was probably due to being Oneplus' first folding experience so, some apps were not optimized compared to galaxy fold. I wonder if got better in time.

$2k is way too much. Cheaper foldables of One plus, Tecno, Moto are selling more. Just give us a $400 snapdragon 4 gen 2 128gb fold.
