Nikojas, 26 Aug 2024Bit it's not jewellery it's a smart device to mea... moreIt's a smart device in the form factor of a ring, there's no way to avoid it being unsuitable for gym use.

If your issue is with the concept (of a smart ring) itself, fine, but just like the a ring is less ideal for wearing in the gym, a watch is less ideal for sleep monitoring.
Form factors have their pros and cons.

Why there isn't a charger anymore in box? Or even a cable? So they can launch new e-waste like this?
              No, no, nope! 😬

I ordered on release date a size 13 in black and the order kept getting pushed back. Last update for expected delivery was September 25. No thank you Samsung I will continue to use my Oura Ring 3.

Looks cool but don't know if it is worth it or not as already bought watch 6 classic which I rarely use but is very cool. And if still you want to buy how can you decide your size? Will there be all sizes for trying in the store?

samsung will likely discontinue it early next year due to poor sales

Samsung should have designed this as a very distinctive jewellery design statement. Something that an onlooker can identify from 30 feet away.
Also, this needs to be little wider, and have a larger battery, more features and long warranties.

I don't know how you test the sensors to say they are "very accurate" which is wrong. Watch the youtube channel quantified scientist, he did a thorough proper review and the sensors are very bad, very inaccurate. End of story.

Snapdragon 695 hater, 26 Aug 2024I'll wait for galaxy ring 2 hopefully that will one al... moreneed me a green lantern ring. I'm gonna LARP so hard with it.

I'll pay at most 50 bucks for this. Unless it is repairable, at which point im willing to pay 100 bucks or even 150 bucks cus I support social enterprises. At 400 dollars this sounds like an elaborate scam.

"The Titanium it's made of is rather durable as well, though it did pick up a couple of minor scratches when we did some barbell work with it. The smart thing is, of course not to wear rings in the gym, but we used this as more of durability test"

Can't handle light work at the gym, yeowzers. Isn't it supposed to be worn everywhere? That's what the swimming crowd said, they want you to wear it everywhere so the 10 ATM certification and unrepairability were necessary. So am I supposed to wear it or not wear it?

The key things I'd have used it for are running and sleeping. Even based on GSMarena's takes, the running isn't inspiring and only the sleep tracking seems good.

Is this worth 400 dollars just to track your sleep? It doesn't look all that expensive, up until now I thought it was plastic. Credit where credit is due, they're not gonna charge a monthly subscription for anything, that's the lowest bar to cross but that's desirable nowadays, sad times. If I wanted something to wear all day I'll go get a Xiaomi band, and for going outside I'd just get a Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic/a nice analog watch. Ain't no problem spending more money if it actually has some use.

Would like to hear about why someone would need this

Why on earth did they miss out contactless payment?
That would be one of the most relevant feautre.
