Like Oppo, Honor invested WAY too much on hardware and frivolous tests and NOT great software, great warranty suport advancing screen tech nor proper after sales support teams.
Strength of a hinge makes NO SEMSE if the majority of the phones weight isn't therein where itll9/10 drop on to save the screens!
Great for fools that buy them later sales drop significantly as word gets out first hand and the honeymoon phase wears off and you can't refund the purchase when you realize you have a 3rd rate foldable that really cannot perform in software, OS support nor growth of more features to enhance the experience for the lifetime of ownership.
Most of those that comment on foldables are not buyers nor owners just fans. Myself included currently but I am a future buyer but I comment sensibly about what the full product offers beyond 3 months.

Dont need tough or light foldable. Need a cheaper, economical foldable. Make a $400 128GB, Snapdragon 4 gen 2 or Dimensity 6300 Honor Magic or Purse.

What was the point of that first test with the hydraulic press? It was only testing one segment of the hinge and not the whole phone. Who cares if one segment of the hinge can withstand that much weight if the phone itself could break easily under less extreme circumstances?

Foldables are finally mature and durable enough to replace slabs. My next phone will most likely be a foldable.
