the only fragile element is their inner display which barely lasts its 2 year warranty, dont blame samsung or anyone else because is not their fault, just the technology limits at this moment

            Roflmao!

Improvised garden hose test for pressurized water yet uses a kiddy crazy carpet type sprinkler?!

Foldables are now durable enough to replace slabs. Pretty soon, all phones released will be foldables and having 2 form factors available at the same time is a great improvement. Basically, everyone will be carrying a phone/tablet in their pocket.

Zendroid, 23 Aug 2024Doesn't matter how good the bend tests/reviews are, be... moreNo need for tests. Just look at used markets and see how embarassed most used foldable phone sellers are when it comes to showing pictures of the inner screen.

Or look at foldable owners who justify 80%-20% outer/inner screen usage so there is less chance to damage the inner screen. xD

ok we won't try that with all the honor V3's at our home

Anonymous, 23 Aug 2024Still easily scratches with just a fingernail. Doesn't... moreThe SCREEN PROTECTOR scratches easily as it's plastic, the screen underneath is plastic and glass so no it won't scratch as much, you can replace the protector as you would any other so I don't get the issue with that.

So just depends on the person who uses it. 🤔

Also, i used my second hand phone as a example. Maybe it has 3 years of use originally idk.
But my own 3 months still the phone screen is intact (apart from scratches that are hard to notice)

These tests are useless. Did a 100 kg guy sit on it? Did you drop it from the balcony on the 4th floor? Did you ran it over with the car? Did you dog bite it? Those seem better durability tests :)

I get my fingernails on my phone's screen all the time, sometimes by mistake sometimes intentionally cus it feels nice.

Maybe you can use the product as is but 90% of the people I know would be unable to use this day to day. They've got kids, they might be clumsy (like most people) and they might be busy with other stuff and don't have time to always think about trying their best not to damage the inner screen. 3 months isn't a long time for a durability test. 2 years is. My S22 Ultra has scratches and weird spots on the back, cus I peeled off the screen protectors after a year. Ain't no way the UTG of the Foldables are gonna do any better.
